Forget the past means not to have future. I want use old themes for my desktop, it is not simple reach this goal. This is a help group for everybody who wants use an old theme.

Ooh, classic themes! Is the platinum-inspired theme compatible for Ubuntu 9.10? Looks shiny old.

Yes, I suppose.

The metacity theme "ClassicMod" has not the minimize button, if you need it you can use "Classic" by J. Yger.

ok i love beos i even haveit on my laptop but is there any way to make one for gtk2 or kde? i found a cortland chicken one but its buggy

In case anyone hasn't seen it already, there's a guy out there pushing the limits of the Metacity theming engine to bring us a Mac System 7 and a Windows 3.1 theme for metacity that are pretty authentic:
