 beginner question...

by jeraux on: Jan 18 2009

Score 50%

What program uses the '.colors' files? There are some amazing schemes using the '.colors' file type; however, my KDE will only show me files that have the .kcsrc extention.

Thanks and keep the great artwork coming.

I'm not saying a word without my lawyer present.

Stumped at first but googled this:

http://www.file-extensions.org/colors-file-extension

Hope that answers your question...

actually that link has to do with a windows based program of some sort; but, I greatly appreciate your time on the matter. Thanks.

The .colors suffix seems to be used interchangeably with the .kcsrc suffix. It shows up on some of the color themes as often as the other suffix. I'm thinking another version of kde or perhaps gnome? Any help would be appreciated.

In case you didn't know, heathenx posted about a new Gimp plugin that does quite a nice job of creating photo reflections with just a click or two:

 What's Your Gimp Packing?

Every once in a while,

I find some way of extending gimps functionality and now and again these little extras are in a league of there own "Essential" you might say in the battle to equalise or exceed the capabilities of Photo$ack

Anyway with out further ado,

Here is the latest Plug-In that should be in your Gimp's arsenal GREYC's Magic Image Converter:

Yes I will keep working with Gimp and Inkscape ... However I wanted to run some of the Adobe products on Linux as at the moment I do not have any version of windows installed and no virtual set ups either, so far I have Photoshop-Flash-Dreamweaver-Fireworks all up and running just in the process with Illustrator at present.
