GnoMenu - A consolidated menu for gnome that brings eye candy to the world of the Gnome menu's. Fully functional menu , supports themes , for a composited or non composited desktop. It can emulate the look and feel of the most beautiful menus of most modern desktops, and it can also use custom menus, due to its powerful theme XML engine.

I am having the exact same issue. I get preferences on the task bar then it shuts down immediately. Is there a way to manually change the settings until this is fixed?

I tried the original Gnome Vista menu by qb89dragon and it didn't work for me. This one does a much better job. Kudos for taking it and making it better.

I do have a couple of suggestions:

1. If you can, make Gnomenu use the current user Icon theme. The use of different styled Icons just throws it off a bit.

2. Can you add a back side bar instead of placing the back button all the way at the bottom. Some menus can have a lot of selections in them and having to scroll to the bottom (even with the mouse wheel) can be a bit of a PIA. Placing a thin bar to the left that one can click to go back to the previous menu would actually make Gnomenus usability much better.

Now some questions:

Do you need help documenting this project?

What is required to make themes?

How do you make themes?

Can a theme create a completely different style of menu layout?

Hope you don't mind but I wanted to give a review on it.
