Submitted:  Feb 10 2008
Updated:  Apr 18 2008

Description:

It is just a first pre-release (name it a DRAFT).
(Why a 7z file? Because it's best than zip and rar and that's the only good alien format accepted at Debiant Art... the file is too big to be here)

Install:
1.) Open a terminal and go to the directory where you have downloaded the file. i.e. cd Desktop/Downloads.
2.) Install p7zip and issue 7z x Titanium_Icon_Theme_PRE1_by_code933k.7z; mv Titanium $HOME/.icons
3.) Enjoy.

If you can't install by normal means it'll be soon in the conventional format (for dropping into the theme manager).

The sources are included for learning. The License states clearly that no changes should be made publicly available as in "someone adds an Ubuntu icon or some MAC icons and releases the theme under another name...".
Intelligent comments are ever welcome.

The final release is planned for Jan 2009, though, with some soponsorship Titanum could become completely available and complete in a couple of months.

Breaks consciously a naive lecture of Gnome HIG 9.2.3

Changelog:

PRE-1)
  • Lacking stock conversion (doesn't work with svg themes...)

  • A lot of app icons still missing

  • Various aestetic changes still to-do

Hi! I'm new to Linux and ubuntu. Using Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. Repacked the 7z as tar.gz and it installed beautifully!
I've been browsing for icon themes for some time now and I'm currently using Black&White something. :-)
That said, your theme is just the best I've seen! Looking forward to see the complete theme! I don't know much about creating themes and stuff, but I know beauty when I see it!

You've actually managed to create a theme, and not just a set of icons!

    Keep it up!!

     problems with networkmanager..

    Hi, first of all
Nice work on the icons!!! real top class imo.

Second I tried installing it on my Ubuntu 8.10 version clean install and had the so called:

"the networkmanager applet could not find some required resources" issue.

I've been browsing the web for a while and tried the suggestions given by them but without luck. All I see now is blank images with red crosses in them.

I must be missing something in my GTK+ theme engine though i've upgraded all GTK2 theme engines to version 2.17 now.

Can someone tell me how to check what exactly I'm missing. I really want these icons to work!! :D

    Thanks in advance :)
