Description:

Like Jet Fighters and Punching.
This release is loaded will all kinds of whoopass. This is that next level that shows why elementary is different from the competition. More and better monochromes, more and better mimetypes, more and better apps. Not to mention this release marks the start of an effort to have every icon from 16px to 128px

As always, Donations much appreciated.

Inspect the PPA here: https://code.launchpad.net/~elementaryart

 Excel icons

by cdekter on: May 16 2008

Score 50%

The Mime type icon for Excel spreadsheets is twice the size of all the other icons. It's been bugging me for ages until I realised its because the PNG itself is 512x512 instead of 256x256. You might want to correct that :)

 Wfi signal icons

I absolutely love your icon theme. However, I've noticed a small glitch w/ your new wifi signal icons (which I think are absolutely marvelous), sometimes the signal bar reverts to the default instead of the new one at different signal strenghts. I am thinking that it must be that a few percentages don't have an icon associated with them. I am not an expert in icon packs, so I can tell which ones, but I guess hopefully a quick-and-dirty look through the pack should give you which exact percentages give rise to that behavior.
Other than that, PERFECT WORK!
I congratulate you on this pack. It makes my desktop look so clean!

I forgot my signature in a duffel bag inside my friends' flat screen monitor.

Hey Dan i know where the problem is, see the screenshot below. 1.7 was still using the original wireless icons with the white blank spaces and no shadows, the missing one is the nm-signal-100 one all of the gnome-netstatus ones are there.

Don't worry, I'm working on it.

I just can't seem to find something that looks all that great, and represents every computer that Linux can run on :)

 bugs

 by perfectska04 on: Jun 1 2008

Since I LOVE these icons, I thought I'd let you know of some bugs/suggestions so you can make it even better. I'm using version 1.8 and normal-sized buttons.

1. The back/forward arrows in 24x24 don't have shadows. It looks weird, since all other toolbar icons have them. The go-first/go-last icons are also missing shadows.

2. When you press alt + f2, the buttons are much larger than in previous version.

3. The shuffle/repeat buttons are not consistent with the rest of the media buttons. This sticks out really bad when using Banshee 1.0 in shuffle mode.

4. Some of the included gnome/tango icons have glossy arrows instead of gradient like the rest of the arrows in the theme. (logout and document-revert icons for example)

5. In appearance preferences, the icon next to customize button is smaller than the other icons.

6. In liferea, rows with attachments are twice as large.. this gets fixed if you delete the 32x32 mail attachment icon.

7. As others said, a computer icon would be great, and so would an updated pidgin icon!

Sorry if this seems like a long list, I just thought you'd save some time if I pointed all these things out. Keep up the great work!

Alright, sounds like a good checklist for 1.8.1

I'll push that out as soon as I can

Excellent work!, I specially love the action and alerts icons, they look soft and professional. The theme has a good consistency. The only things I don't like is the default folder color as it doesn't have good contrast with the background of the file manager (Changed to darker blue and it looks great.)
Keep up the good work!
