Description:

Like Jet Fighters and Punching.
This release is loaded will all kinds of whoopass. This is that next level that shows why elementary is different from the competition. More and better monochromes, more and better mimetypes, more and better apps. Not to mention this release marks the start of an effort to have every icon from 16px to 128px

As always, Donations much appreciated.

Inspect the PPA here: https://code.launchpad.net/~elementaryart

I'm going to release them today, don't worry!

but they are also undergoing a HUGE transformation. So look forward to elementary small being a very well put together theme in the near future. :)

 slow menu resonse

I tried both of your themes, and while they give the desktop a great look I have the following issue with them.

Clicking on a menu entry like "edit" for instance takes a file till there is some kind of response and the underlying menu list is shown up.

1. clicking on "edit" in nautilus takes a while till it shows the entries.
2.clicking on the search button on the toolbar in gedit takes even longer.

I don't know if there are more examples for this.

After I change the icon theme, everything is showing up immediately.
I have experienced this issue since the 1.2 release, but have forgotten to comment it here

I've got the same problem, gedit is pretty well unusable with the "small" version (normal seems to be okay). The same problem happens on a P4 desktop and a Centrino laptop - doing anything in gedit other than just typing will result in CPU spikes and take a few seconds to respond (in the case of "find", it's up to 10 seconds). It doesn't make a difference how large of a file is open.

This is strange because I use gedit every day on a computer with a 1.2GHz amd and 768mb of sd ram. and I haven't seen any slowing. even with a ton of apps running. Try the new icons and if it still doesn't work, I really don't know what to say. Update gedit??

Hi!

Nowtimes I downloaded lot of iconthemes, because I'm hunting for mime icons and I found my PSD feather in your iconset. When somebody uses my work, I'm happy. If you need other things, you can use it: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Tango+mine?content=76316
The old SWF, PSD and CDR themes joined in the Tango mime icons.
New icons: Quicktime and Skype. Few days and I will upload some new icons.

Have a nice day!

Andrew

Only noobs use Ubuntu? Im not a Ubuntu user either, but anyone that uses a Linux Distro no matter what is very smart and in no case a noob. Only a noob would bash a linux distro. Figure out how to create your own distro noob. The fact that Ubuntu is owned by a multibillionaire and asks nothing for their distro and offers some of the best support over any linux distro on the net shows alot. Ubuntu is a great distro, maybe not the best, but definately not in any way bashable.

There's one issue with Ubuntu: Many Debian Package-Maintainers are listed as Ubuntu Package-Maintainers, even if they didn't package for Ubuntu, so they just took the Debian Package and rebuild it. (especially in Universe).

okay maybe you didn't read it at all. But the whole point was that I switched from a self-mentioned compiled-from-nothing spin-off of Gentoo to Ubuntu over the weekend. thanks for reading.

I'm gonna need something a little more detailed than that to help u out!
Are you having a problem with the icon theme itself or the pixmap-hack self-installer?
