Description:

Like Jet Fighters and Punching.
This release is loaded will all kinds of whoopass. This is that next level that shows why elementary is different from the competition. More and better monochromes, more and better mimetypes, more and better apps. Not to mention this release marks the start of an effort to have every icon from 16px to 128px

As always, Donations much appreciated.

 Full compatibility! WOOO!

by marvin on: Jun 3 2008

Score 50%

These icons are actually compatible with XFCE. Awesome job, man, anyone who actually bothers to do that with their icon set deserves some recognition.

Looks great under Gnome too. Only a few icons aren't being used right:

- The icon for Epiphany is the default. Not sure why.

- The networkmanager icons don't show up if there's no wireless network (and therefore no signal strength to indicate). For now maybe just use the max signal strength icon for wired networks?

- I think the volume manager may still be using the Gnome default icon.

- The power manager icon is still Gnome default; I'm not sure if this is because the replacement is missing or if it's a real bug.

Still, in spite of this - awesome icon set. And don't listen to the people who whine about it being imitation Mac, it looks a lot closer to Tango.

A lot of icons in here are going to be the GNOME default for now, especially with app icons.

However, its major revision time, once again. So, I'm looking at everything that you guys are saying and sorting it out by priority.

 Perfect but too small?

by twodayslate on: Jun 3 2008

Awesome set. For some reason though, all the icons are really small for me. The back button, home button etc; The folders are the right size. How do I fix this? Using Ubuntu Linux 8.04

You should also make more colors. A nice black set would be great.

Found the gray folders. Love em. Now I wish there was an all gray set. Does anyone know how to change the icon size?

I wish there was an edit button, I don't like triple posting...

This may be something to do in the very far future (colors). But, right now I don't have time to manage both elementary and multiple forks of it! However, please feel free to embark on this project, if it is really what you desire.

This is a really great theme. I love it. But I noticed that the Network Manager icon doesn't change according to the wireless signal.

hmm.. I don't use wireless myself, so I can't really test this. But, I have screenshots from other people's computers that show it at different levels!

 Network Manager Applet

by Flysh on: Jun 12 2008

Score 50%

Hey there!
Nice job, I love the icon and metacity theme, yet there's one small problem (I know I'm very picky :)). Sometimes the network manager applet changes to the old four vertical bars design when the connection is lost for a short time. I started to copy the nm-signal-xx.svg as 22x22 pngs in the appropriate folder but didn't succeed. Any hints?

Cheers,
Flysh

I think I found the solution: the icon for a 0% connection was names nm-signal-0.png while it should be named nm-signal-00.png as in the default icon themes in Ubuntu Hardy...

 Network Manager odd

by FuturePilot on: Jun 12 2008

Well strange, but according to the icons, it should be changing, but it never changes for me. According to the icons at 38%, it should only show 2 bars, but for me, it never changes to anything other than 3 bars.

Ok, I think I found the oddity. The applet "Network Monitor" correctly shows the signal change. I did get nm-applet to change, however it seems out of whack. At 24% it shows 2 bars, when according to the icon names, it should be showing 1. So it seems that nm-applet is out of whack with this icon set for some reason.

If you find out what is causing the problem, please let me know. I can only deal with this problem in theory, I can't really test it myself.

Elementary project is nice.... I think it is so good that it should be Gnome or Ubuntu default look :)
