 config.txt

by Sohtem on: Jan 7 2009

I have a question:

If I put a new icon with editing the configure.txt file I have to write there the icon file, the name of the icon, and the name of the program.
Like this: ('gimp.png', 'GIMP', 'gimp')

But what if I want just open a file, and don't run a program :)
(for example: just open a txt file)

I tried to write a script which open the file which I want, and I put the script into /usr/bin but it still doesn't work.

How start the desklet the programs?
Or how can I find which way it works?

Problem solved!

The pyton's interpreter wanted to run the script which wasn't a python script. :)

Just putting #!bin/bash over the code solved this.

Hi Lukas,

i was wondering if you, or someone else could make a conversion for this theme to work in Screenlets.

I've not been able to get aDesklets installed and working.

I've been looking at the code and although i undertsand a lot of it, i don't have the skills with Python to make the conversion myself.

The theme look excellent by the way. Keep up the good work

Cheers

NM

 invisible icons

 by mpeter84 on: May 20 2009

Hi!
I'm just a new ubuntu user, and my English is far from good, but I try to write down my problem.

I've installed those adesklet things, and I can see the icons on the screen, but when I move the cursor onto them they disappear in 5 seconds. What is the problem?

I've tried to make some changes in the config file, but nothing happened. Can anyone help me?

Desklet "yab" not working with adesklet 0.6.1-4 and 0.6.1-5 because it's error. My skills and support include only Ubu 8.04 and 8.10.
