Many people asked for it ...
Voilà ! I did it ;-)

This theme is a free port of Vista icons. It is based on nuoveXT 1.6(from Saki). Many icons come from Internet (principally deviantART, and many other sites).

Use it only for personal use.

I decided to publish it because I can see many themes for OSX on GNOME-LOOK.ORG.

I tried to re-upload this but the file is too large. All you have to do is decompress the archive and then re-compress it in the format of filename.tar.gz and then install it through your theme manager. Great work BTW

After I upgrade to gnome 2.22, this theme stops work. Damn it! Could you please modify it so that we can use it under gnome 2.22? Thank you

Same problem for me. The theme does not work properly after I installed Ubuntu 8.04. Would love to have this icon theme working again. Please correct for new Gnome release.

Hi-

I really like this icon set, but running Ubuntu Hardy, the file folder icons don't work! Any chance of fixing this? Otherwise, it's awesome...

It actually works in Ubuntu 8.04, just do the following:

bunzip LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.bz2
mv LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44 LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar
gzip LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar

Then go to System>Preferences>Appearance click the Install button, select LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar.gz and enjoy.

Sorry, I missed the 2 after bunzip:

bunzip2 LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.bz2
mv LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44 LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar
gzip LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar

Then go to System>Preferences>Appearance click the Install button, select LiNsta_Icons_by_tiennou44.tar.gz and enjoy.

Well I still do not have folder Icons in Nautilus, i do see them when saving file from FireFox. My Nautilus 2.22.5.1

Again the file folders do not work in the file browser (nautlis). I am using ubuntu 9.04. Everything else works fine.
