Description:

X11 mouse theme with the crystal look&feel, there are four versions in the package.

Changelog:

CrystalCursors 1.1.1:
-this release only fixes some hot spot-related bugs into the left-handed version.
Many thanks to Markus Bauer and Bastian Venthur for the report and patch.

CrystalCursors 1.1:
this release fixes only the build system, changes includes:
-in left handed themes the symmetric cursors aren't flipped anymore
-now it's finally possible to install the cursors system-wide:
all you have to do is to edit the Makefile and change the first line
export PREFIX=$(HOME)/.icons/ with a properdirectory, usually
export PREFIX=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons is a good choice,
that should also make simpler to build rpms and other packages

CrystalCursors 1.0:
-corrected the green version of copy cursor
-now the colorize.sh script produces a veery better result
(and is fairly slower, btw :-))

CrystalCursors 0.9:
-corrected a little asymmetry in the left pointers
-all themes have an almost autogenerated left-handed (i.e. flipped) version

CrystalCursors 0.8:
-modified the shiny effect of the hands
-all borders of the 32x32 versionnow are more sharp
-remade all the shadows of the white version
CrystalCursors 0.7:
-a 32x32 version of wach cursor theme(useful for very big screen
resolutions) to enable it set the environment variable XCURSOR_SIZE=32
-watch busy cursor updated with the one in the current crystal icons
-green theme reworked
-lighter shadows
-reworked all the svg images
-little modification in colorize.sh(thanks to Tika)

orange or purple would look really good!!! maybye even pink (light pink) a more glassy effect would be cool! ;) other than that excellent cursor set... just wish the choose.sh script did not have the bug in it not recongnizing --combobox.. I hat the change it to --checklist tog et the sctrpit going.. also I had a theme on here that kept taking over the index.theme file in the ./icons/defualt dir!!

I've made a gentoo ebuild for this.
You can download it with other ebuilds from my site:

http://flameeyes.web.ctonet.it/

It installs them system-wide, so you don't need to install it for all your users.

 doesn't work for me

by ushohet on: Mar 24 2004

I unpacked the package in ~/Crystalcursors and ran make:

make -C blue_src
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/ushohet/Crystalcursors/blue_src'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `../blue_cursors/base_arrow_down', needed by `all'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ushohet/Crystalcursors/blue_src'
make: *** [all] Error 2

I use Fedora Core 1, GNU make 3.79.1

Any thoughts?

Uri

Same problem here, same Fedora Core 1.

Did you found a solution?

I had the same problem. I installed make 3.80 in a separate dir and executed the Makefile with it without any problem.

It is and will continue to be my
default theme.

Better that you changed that finger cursor.

Thank you very much!

What about including it in the official
KDE distribution???

 I made a change...

Great cursors! I love the Crystal type look.

I made a slight change though to the colorize.sh script. For some reason, my Built-in Trident Cyberblade video would show the cursors rather washed out when colorizing with the script. So I changed this line:

convert -fill $1 -colorize 40 $f $f

To this:

convert -fill $1 -colorize 40 -contrast -modulate 100,180,100 +contrast $f $f

(The above is to be all on one line.) Sharpened up the color nicely. :)
