Description:

The same animated cursors as in my 'Golden Xcursors 3D' theme, but this time rendered in Silver.
Some People requested this.

Installation:

Copy the two folders 'Silver' and 'default' to your ~/.icons directory and
restart your X-Server.

If you want to have bigger cursors, you have to create an .Xdefaults file
in your home directory and insert the following two lines:

Xcursor.theme: Silver
Xcursor.size: 48

The default size is 32.

That's it!

Note: If the animations are flickering on your nvidia card with the latest
driver, add the following line to your XF86Config file, into the nvidia
device section, to fix it:

Option "HWCursor" "off"

Changelog:

0.4:
- added pirate
- a little less animation (requested)

0.3:
- added smaller size
- modified text-cursor
- added some symlinks

0.2:
- added 'fleur'
- slightly changes on some cursors
- added some symlinks

 Other format

Your cursor theme is great. I would like to use the animations with M$ windows, too - to have a common look between windows and XFree. Could you offer the cursors in a different format like png, mng or something similar for this purpose ?

 Open?

OK....I'm trying to open these cursors as images, but when I got to Silver/cursors
there is a whole bunch of files without file extensions. I was thinking of doing a non animated version of these type of cursors, but if you wanna do it, I'd like that :)

 Cursor problem

I installed your cursors, which by the way are really cool, but I'm having with 1 certain cursor. I get the default upper right pointing cursor rather than yours on certain screens...like my desktop. I can't figure out how to get around this. I'm running SuSE 8.2 with KDE 3.1.2.

 Animated arrow

i liked much more when the left_ptr(?) was animated. It was good improvement because it was very easy to find the cursor on the screen. i know someone told you it's distracting to have the cursor animated but not for me ;)
couldn't it be possible to have there two versions maintained? animated and not animated cursor?

Just copy the pirate cursor from 0.4 into the Silver-0.3 dir. Then you have a full animated set.
