Description:

There is hope and its called: KORE
Kore is a completely new attempt at finally giving KDE a constant, stylish and modern identity.

This project aims to replace all that was default and redraw your whole desktop. So the category "Emerald-Theme" is unfitting, but there is nothing like a Suite category here.
If you are a really skilled ICON DESIGNER or QT STYLE SKINNER,
contact me at the email found in my profile.

I'm happy for every help i get !

Thanks for checking it out, more Screenshots to come,

Since the emerald theme is done can you provide a download? How did you get the large sides to the window?

Finally something new/original and good for kde (theme as icons). Keep up the amazing work bub!

Ah was 'fraid that this site for kde was becoming a wallpaper-trash. (only good things [icons, themes etc..] for gnome)

Hi,
Creative design for sure.
But you should either give a download link for the progress parts or put in the category 'Screenshot' until the theme is ready for download.
Otherwise it confuses the purpose of any categorization.

Ok, here is the deal - I've registered here only to let you know that this theme is what I have been waiting for ever since I typed my first command into the linux console!!!! Everything else feels amateur, childish even. I couldn't stand it. You gave me one more reason to leave Windows XP behind and move on to Linux full time. Can't wait to have it on my machine. How did you get white fonts in the kicker by the way?

Wow, you might actually get me to use KDE more often with something like this.

I can't stand the candy land look of KDE, it's like it's always there no matter what you do but you apparently despise it as much as I do, and unlike me you seem to have the skill to take it out back and put it down for good. :)

Can't wait till it's done.

I would love to see a gnome version of this skin rather then the KDE logo...

What can I say... I like the gnome icon better :)

Would someone please direct me as to how "beryl" works? As I read it was a separate GUI from gnome and KDE, but this thread makes it sound like its an addon to KDE?

Beryl is basically an add on. It adds to kde or gnome or xfce. It's basically a window manager that also adds a ton of effects.

Ahh I see thank you!

My next question then is... is it possible to get the gnome foot icon in the lower left hand corner rather then the KDE icon?

I noticed that this theme (Looks almost exactly like vista) has an Ubuntu logo in the lower left instead of the KDE logo...

Great work. Looks awesome, my only comments are that the frames look like they might take up a lot of space, and you should make sure to keep this theme at least semi 256Mb RAM friendly. Remember, KDE as of current is used by mostly Linux users, and Linux users don't always have the most powerful machiens. Just don't let the FX overpower its function, if it's going to become a commonly excepted theme, then it has to be functional first.

I would love to see this theme adopted when finished by some distros as there default though, I could imagine it getting Kubuntu a lot of attention. Once again, great work.
