This is my modification of Vista theme (original: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=49000).

I use LiNsta-GTK2 theme and Exquisite icon pack.

At first all the Vista themes looked good, but your's is so much better. I really like the black glass effects.

Great theme. I love how you've got the minimised windows to change colour/'glow' when you hover over them.

One question: how do I change my Main Menu icon from the Gnome 'foot'?

Thanks :)

Basically, you need to backup the original image file adn replace it with whatever you want.
for example

sudo cp /usr/share/pixmaps/gnome-logo-icon-transparent.png /usr/share/pixmaps/gnome-logo-icon-transparent.png.bak
sudo cp /path/to/your/icon.png /usr/share/pixmaps/gnome-logo-icon-transparent.png
killall gnome-panel

Or you can copy the file named "distributor-logo.png" into /usr/share/icons/your-icon-pack/
for example
cp /path/to/your/icon.png /usr/share/icons/Aero/scalable/apps/distributor-logo.png

:)

Hi.
Cool theme. However, shadows of menus are weird.

 howto edit?

by acpiek on: Feb 2 2007

I'm trying to change your theme a little, but would like some help.

I like to change the blue-ish line (that's on the right & bottom of the window) to white (like it's on the top & left of the window). But I don't know which line(s) to change. I've tried searching for the HEX colour value of the blue-ish line, but I can't seem to find it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Change 'Frame Shadow' from bright blue :)

Personally, I set the highlight and shadow to black, to get a bit of a darker theme, but white works ok too.
