Very sexy, very good wall paper, works together very well, and overall, I'm shocked that your first is so good. However, I'm pretty sure that you're not allowed to use that image (considering that's the case 95% of the time on this site).

As a photographer myself, I can tell you that's not the way it works. Copyright of any artistic work lies with the artist unless stated otherwise (for example, if the work is done on commission, copyright may be held by the company who commissioned the work). Unless you are notified otherwise, you should always assume the work to be all rights reserved (meaning you can't do anything at all with it).

There are many ways to find works which are available to edit; Firefox provides a method of searching through works uploaded to the internet under a creative commons licence, as does Flickr.com within it's uploaded content. In which case, you may search within those licensed for derivative works (those which you can alter to create your own artwork).

You've done a really nice piece of work here, it's just such a shame you've ripped someone else off to do so. As Linux users, most of what we do is based upon Open Source, which for many of us is a way to get free software, the legal way, Creative Commons is the art equivalent. Check it out: http://www.creativecommons.org

Just read further down the thread where you say you have now acquired permission to use the image so I apologise if my last post seemed heavy handed. Although, for future reference, I strongly recommend checking out the Creative Commons Licences.

no doubt that's sexy but I will never understand why people grab naked pics or those of women stamp a logo or two and call it a wallpaper for gnome-look.org.

I agree 100%. And then they get a good rating. Just goes to show how horny computer nerds really are.

I don't see how it's any different from taking a photo of a landscape, building, leaf etc. and stamping your logo on it - do you?

 Horny geeks?!

Appreciating "art", even if it depicts a half-naked woman, does not constitute "hornyness". In fact, being able to consider the picture as a whole, instead of seeing a naked woman, would be a sign of intelligence. Apparently, you weren't able to.

Hi! I didn't see the naked girl I see the art and I feel something... I would like sharing this. And now editing the next without naked girl.

I'm a gay male, and in general I agree that there's too many [female] nude pics with logos stamped on them, but for once this one actually looks very artistically done and worth the title of "art." It's a refreshing change from the 'lol boobs'-type wallpapers I've seen on here in the past. The logo fits very well with the image, and the color scheme is overall very even. It's also encouraging that the artist has made a best attempt at getting the photographer's permission.

As a sidenote, I think something should be done so that people don't get caught by this stuff unawares. This should be a work/school/family-friendly site. Perhaps make it an account option to show adult images?

I think, this picture is NOT adult category! Just artistically.
