Description:

I don't have time or motivation to maintain this icon theme anymore (this theme has not changed since version 3.3, Mar 17 2007). If anyone wants to take over its ownership, I will gladly give it to you! please contact me.
====================

This is a complete refresh of the original OSX icon theme by Toby. I fixed every missing icon I could find, fixed the "tiny icon" problem and made enhancements. As I don't own a Mac myself, I tried to make choices that seemed logical to me, while trying to keep a balance on the usability aspect. My goal is to have the most complete and realistic "Mac OS X" icon set ever, so if you find missing elements, feel free to contribute!

This is far my favourite icon set, thanks so much and congrats!

And i'm with the boy who said the folders icons doesn't fit at all with the rest, it's ugly and with low quality.

Please!! add a new icon to that :-D that way this iconset would be the best of all.

Regards.

Hi,
Can someone point me in the right direction actually to install this great looking set? I've just installed Tango, but when I drag the OSX folder onto the theme manager I just get "File format is invalid".
Thanks,
D

Download it first (just click on the link), and then drag it into the theme manager or extract the contents to ~/.icons/.

This clock is Macslow's cairo clock. It works well only if you use a composite manager such as compiz which runs on XGL or AIGLX.

thanks for the answer and the help.
so in order to make it work I have to first install XGL and then the compiz manager. did I get it right?

I'm running on an Ubuntu right now. any advice or recommendation to make the clock run correctly?
thanks again.

They're not Kanji numbers, they're the Kanji for North, East, South and West.

I'm curious, what is that wallpaper you are using in the second screenshot (the one with the planets)? It looks very nice from what I can see under the various windows that are open.

Also, super icon set - nice work.

Sorry for the late reply! For the wallpaper, just search for Greg Martin. He's the artist that does a lot of planets it seems :)

BTW, I note one of your mirror links is bad. If you need another I'll be glad to host it for you.

I see! Well if you want to, that would be nice. The more mirrors the better I guess ;) I'll remove the tobias link.

I want to only if you feel you need it. if not, then I won't bother.
