Description:

Uncomplicated theme for gnome 3.6.x an 3.8.x (includes gnome-shell theme)

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme NOT require unico-engine or adwaita-engine ;)
- GTK2 theme uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf

A theme made with 'The text document' in mind, designed for the daily work of the office.

- Select version for nautilus
------------------------------
If you use nautilus 3.6.x not need to change anything in this section, however if you use nautilus 3.4 need change a line in gtk.css file.

Edit (gedit) the file ../Uncomplicated/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

go to the last line of the file, there are two options for nautilus:
If you use nautilus 3.6.x (by default)
@import url("nautilus36.css");

If you use nautilus 3.4.x in gnome 3.6.x (as in ubuntu 12.10)
@import url("nautilus34.css");

Changelog:

Version 1.04 (2013-07-11)
-------------------------
- Changed Metacity theme
- Added Gnome-shell theme, mainly for gnome 3.8.x but I think it also works in 3.6.x
(It is basically a modification of the gnome-shell 3.8 standard theme to suit uncomplicated and some tricks to make it work in gnome 3.6)
- Fixed Calendar unity-panel (with gnome 3.8)
- Fixed Nautilus iconView with large icons, labels with multiple lines shows wrong color
- Fixed some inconsistencies in toolbars-combobox
- Some minor fixes

Version 1.03 (2013-06-23)
-------------------------
- Full support gnome 3.6.x and gnome 3.8.x
- Some cosmetic changes looking soften the look
- Added 'Uncomplicated Tricolor'
- Added 'Textures' (Titlebar, toolbars and menubars).
if you like you can remove them easily (see textures-instructions.txt)
- Some minor fixes

Version 1.02 (2013-04-09)
-------------------------
- Added two color variants (Mint and Orange)
- Added another tab style: @import url("tabs-rounded.css"); (see readme.txt)

Version 1.01 (2013-04-03)
--------------------------
- Added support for xfce

Version 1.0 (2013-04-02)
--------------------------
- See readme.txt

 Theme..

Hi..
The theme you just share with us is just amazing, it's sure one of the best I ever used.. All I wanted is to thank you, and to support your work, so you will come with more themes like this one, 'couse it's really great.. :)
Btw, please don't get wrong this question, but I'm a Elementary user, and I facing the problem with menus when I apply your theme, so I wonder if you maybe can make theme compatible with Elementary OS, witch also includes slidebar like in Elementary.. I tried modifying gtk.scc for nautilus 3.4 like you described, but, unfortunstly, that had not effect.. In any case, great work, and keep going.. :)

The theme supports nautilus 3.4.x installed in gnome 3.6 (as in ubuntu 12.10), but NOT MADE FOR GNOME-3.4.x, gnome 3.6.x only

If I'm not mistaken, I think elementary-OS is based on gnome 3.4 and therefore is not supported by the theme, I'm not totally sure, you can confirm that?

Thanks for sharing this great theme!

But, I have a little suggestion for xfce-panel configuration.

In gtk-2.0/gtkrc (line 1057)

"fg[NORMAL] = shade (0.97, @base_color)"

will cause white texts on lightgray background which are unclear.

Changing to,

"fg[NORMAL] = @theme_fg_dark_color"

will be easier for eyes.
<- this is from your MediterraneanWhite gtkrc ;)

Best Regards,
Chien

I do not usually put support for Xfce in the first version, in order to focus more on the problems with GTK3.

In the next update (v1.01) will have full support for Xfce

Thank you for your suggestions :)

Thanks for your update :)
It fits very well (including xfwm theme).

I like the new panel, too.

Best Regards,
Chien

great work once again with this theme! The green variant goes great with opensuse :). there's not enough good green themes out there so I'm very happy you've included one with this excellent theme.

This really is beautiful. I wish there'd be a PPA or deb package source available for it. Keep up the great work.

Edit: Synaptic looks horrible, although murrine and pixbuf engine are installed? Cheers

I've been waiting with bated breath for this theme to update for compatibility with GNOME 3.8, and now that it's here, I'm able to enjoy it in all its beauty. Thanks a lot!

 window buttons

Hi trastes,

Love the theme. Currently using it in xfce. I really like the design of the window buttons. When you hover or select it, it doesn't have a line running through the button. I'm wondering if you could make the same effect with the mediterraneannight theme, which I also like it very much.

I just broke my linux installation because of the ATI drivers. So today I'm not able to do anything.
Morning with a clean installation and better mood which now see what I can do. Anyway MediterraneanWhite I think I put these buttons to Xfce, well ... review tomorrow ...

regards :)

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the window buttons on the panel. when you hover over it, there seems to be a 3d glass-effect with a line running through it. Hopefully i don't confuse you more. anyway, keep up the good works. your themes are awesome!
