Currently we have no plans on changing the color of status icons and some other icons as well.

But you can easily edit thee icons with Inkscape since they're SVG files.

My solution:
1) Make 2 copie of "ubuntu-mono-dark" icon theme and rename them as "NITRUX-Mono-Dark" and "NITRUX-Buttons-Mono-Dark"
2) Open the "index.theme" files in each folder and change "Name" and "Inherits" values accordingly.
3) Select the theme "NITRUX-Mono-Dark" or "NITRUX-Buttons-Mono-Dark"

Really gorgeous! Use it on my Xfce Fedora 18 distro. Just unpacked the files fromout the tar file and pasted them into the usr/share/icons folder. Works like a charm!

 version 3 comes with changes

by sadi on: Mar 8 2013

thanks a lot! couldn't wait for upubuntu folks to make the ubuntu package ready for upgrade, so immediately downloaded and began using it.
but just noticed a missing icon: synaptic manager "mark all upgrades" has an old-style gnome icon although others are using yours.

 Great as always

Awesome work. I've been using it as default since the first version, congratulations.
I have a little suggestion/comment: in system settings there are 4 icons that are not buttonized when using that variant: Printers, Mouse, Wacom tablet and Keyboard. It would be great to have that consistent look in all those icons.

Yes, though in my case only 2 appear like that Printer and Wacom. I'll check that.

Thanks.
