Description:

Flat, simple and clean :)

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some simple instructions (styles for nautilus, change selection color, metacity-buttons)

If you are using Firefox, I recommend for this theme to install the extension FXChrome. It is not completely flat but almost ;)
https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/fxchrome/?src=api

requires:
- GNOME 3.4.x or GNOME 3.6.x (does not work on other versions of gnome)
- GTK3 theme uses unico-engine
- GTK2 theme uses gtk2-engines-murrine

There are four themes:
FlatStudio: based on the color of my other theme MediterraneanNight

FlatStudioLight: found a mockup that I really liked and in which I based for FlatStudioLight, the mockup is of Tobias Bernard\'s (minimal GTK theme mockup), found in
http://tobiasbernard.com/floss/minimal-gtk-theme/

FlastudioGray: soft gray frame

FlatStudioDark: flat dark theme :)

Shell theme:

 Fantastic theme!

 by keelzebub on: Nov 8 2012

This theme looks fantastic! I have noticed a small issue in Chrome/Chromium and gtk 3.6 however, in which the text on the Bookmarks bar is too light (http://i.imgur.com/B9N2t.png).

It's only a problem with the plain FlatStudio theme. Am I the only one who has this problem? Did I perhaps set something up incorrectly?

 Rounded tabs?

Hi,
I love everything about this theme... especially the dark version. I wanted to change one thing though.. is it possible to change the tabs from rounded to direct rectangles? Could you tell me how to fix the css to change this?
Keep up the good works! Finally, gtk has a good flat theme.

Edit the file ../FlatStudio/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

near line 200 you will see this

/*
There are 3 options for Tabs:
-----------------------------------
@import url("tabs.css");
@import url("tabs-2.css");
@import url("tabs-classic.css");
*/

@import url("tabs.css");

for tabs square

@import url("tabs-2.css")

 Problem loading theme

Hej!

I really like your theme, GTK works fine...

But: the mutter/metacity theme does not load in my Gnome 3 on Ubuntu 12.10 with the error

Window manager warning: Failed to load theme "FlatStudioLight": Failed to find a valid file for theme FlatStudioLight

do you have any idea why it does not load? I have put the theme folders in .themes, the other variants also don't work.

Thanks, Nils

It is a known problem in gnome 3.6, the only fix is to copy the themes in /usr/share/themes rather than local folder .themes

Hi!

thanks for the quick answer, I have just found another solution: mutter/metacity ist also looking in .local/share/themes/ so I put my themes there and symlinked ~/.themes to it...

Thanks, best theme ever!

Hi!

any suggestion for Firefox theming, maybe a similar firefox theme? Shouldn't Firefox use the GTK-theme nowadays?

Thanks, Nils

Try FXChrome. It is not completely flat but almost
https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/fxchrome/?src=api

I'm also looking for something that goes well with flatstudio.

Thanks for the trick of metacity! :)
