Description:

Flat, simple and clean :)

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some simple instructions (styles for nautilus, change selection color, metacity-buttons)

If you are using Firefox, I recommend for this theme to install the extension FXChrome. It is not completely flat but almost ;)
https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/fxchrome/?src=api

requires:
- GNOME 3.4.x or GNOME 3.6.x (does not work on other versions of gnome)
- GTK3 theme uses unico-engine
- GTK2 theme uses gtk2-engines-murrine

There are four themes:
FlatStudio: based on the color of my other theme MediterraneanNight

FlatStudioLight: found a mockup that I really liked and in which I based for FlatStudioLight, the mockup is of Tobias Bernard\'s (minimal GTK theme mockup), found in
http://tobiasbernard.com/floss/minimal-gtk-theme/

FlastudioGray: soft gray frame

FlatStudioDark: flat dark theme :)

Shell theme:

"sed -e s/rounded_top_left\=\"false\"/rounded_top_left\=\"true\"/g FlatStudio*/metacity-1/metacity-theme-?.xml -i" and "sed -e s/rounded_top_right\=\"false\"/rounded_top_right\=\"true\"/g FlatStudio*/metacity-1/metacity-theme-?.xml -i" will give these rounded corners in case anyone's wonderin' like I was. (That might be something to add to the readme, trastes.)

 say NO to gradients!

Great theme, as I my eyes already hurt from overusage of gradients in interfaces by everybody else. Just wish it was available in set of color of a traditional Gorilla-GTK theme, see here http://jimmac.musichall.cz/screenshots/gtk-gorilla.jpeg

If by now you just want to get that tone, is relatively easy. Basically is to change the colors bg_color and theme_bg_dark_color for which I am indicating (bg_color=#DEDFCE, theme_bg_dark_color=#DEDFCE)

From FlatStudio or FlatStudioLight or FlatStudioGray (the one you like, not FlatStudioDark!)

for GTK3
1. - Edit ../FlatStudioXXX/gtk-3.0/setting.ini and change bg_color for the following value
gtk-color-scheme = "base_color:#FDFDFD\nbg_color:#DEDFCE\............."

2. - Edit ../FlatStudioXXX/gtk-3.0/gtk.css
about line 4
@define-color bg_color #DEDFCE;

about line 41
@define-color theme_bg_dark_color @bg_color;

for GTK2
3.- edit ../FlatStudioXXX/gtk-3.0/gtkrc (similar to step 1)
line 1
gtk-color-scheme = "base_color:#FDFDFD\nbg_color:#DEDFCE"

about line 5
gtk-color-scheme = "theme_bg_dark_color:#DEDFCE\n........."

There are instructions in the readme.txt to change the selection color (very easy too)

 A couple requests!

I'd really love to see a Cinnamon theme for this. It's perfect! Almost...

on Gnome 3.6 I can't select it as my window theme. Well, I can, but it doesn't take effect.

Also, checkboxes are often ambiguous - it's impossible to tell whether it is checked or not.

Thanks.

In 1 or 2 days I hope to publish the version 1.02 adapted to Gnome 3.6.
In my testing (Ubuntu 12.10) I have no problems with Cinnamon, nemo and nautilus 3.6.
what the checkbox and radiobutton is also solved, but aesthetically it is a little different to Gnome 3.4.
In general, the theme goes well in Gnome 3.6 and Cinnamon

Thanks for your comment :)

Good to hear! I can't wait.

The theme works perfectly in Cinnamon (except having some white on light fonts in the system settings), I meant a theme for Cinnamon itself (the panel, mostly). This would probably be easier for the author of Contrail, as his Gnome-shell theme is pretty much what is required for Cinnamon... oh well. thanks for the great theme!

 unity panel text color

Hey man, awesome updates! One minor issue: when changing the unity panel css to unity-darkest, the panel text remains dark (on a dark background). I easily fixed it by taking a look at how you do it for GrayDay, but wanted to let you know.
