Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

or

 No buttons while maximized

by Velisarus on: Jan 30 2012

Score 50%

First of all -- thank you for such a wonderful theme! It's the best GTK-theme I ever seen! Keep it up!

My problem is -- wrong buttons while the window is maximized (screenshot -- http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/223/scrj.png ).

I use Ubuntu 11.10, Unity-2d, and Awaita Cupertino 1.3.3 version.

P. S. I can grant a VNC access to my computer if it will help.

Buttons spacing problem in unmaximized windows

by sadi on: Jan 31 2012

Score 50%

New (and bigger) buttons bring this sleek theme closer to MacOSX looks (perhaps the next step will be using "x+-" inside buttons?)
However, it seems it has also brought a problem with button spacing.
I tried both version 1.3.4 and 1.3.5 with no change.
In all unmaximized windows, the round edges of all 3 buttons are cut off on the right-hand side - see: http://i.minus.com/i5K2TyYk7ufjz.png
It looks like an spacing issue to me.

you can solve quickly, simply increasing the size of the font in the title bar

Still do not know why, but the size of the font in the title bar affects the spacing between the buttons on the title bar.

I am looking for documentation to avoid this dependence

regards

you can also try another font that is less close
or
They are still the other buttons to the titlebar (readme.txt inside), if you prefer

 Size of new buttons

After some experience (and comparing with Mac OSX) I've got a feeling that the new buttons might be a little too large -- just wondering if this feeling is shared ;-)

Great!
Meanwhile I've decided that I preferred your previous titlebar buttons to the new ones ;-)
They look very nice...

My impression is that it is due to the beta version. This problem with the icons do not know if it is related to the theme or something else.
As happens with other GTK3 themes? and other icon themes?

Help with a beta is very difficult, note that this problem can be solved by itself with a system update or in the next beta version.
I will try to install v12.04 alpha2 in virtualbox, but I can not promise anything, sorry

I tried ubuntu v12.04 alpha 2 (in virtualbox) with AdwaitaCupertino L and SL, the icons in the toolbars were correct.

The graphics card driver is free or proprietary?

To me (ATI radeon HD4670), the graphics driver proprietary gave me problems and they saw artifacts in some controls. The free controller operates correctly, in ubuntu 11.10.
Although not know if have something to do. you've tried if it occurs in unity2d?
