Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

or
Elementary icons theme

if you use Chrome, for the scroll bars

I need some more info to help :)

- a screenshot of the error helps a lot
- what distro do you use?
- you have installed unico-engine (GTK3) and murrine (GTK2)?
- happens with all the variations of theme? Adwaita-Cupertino L or SL or L Unity or SL Unity

Ubuntu installs by default unico-engine and murrine, if pinguyOS 11.10 is based on Ubuntu 11.10 should not have problems.

I do not know much about pinguyOS, surely in some forum of pinguyOS can solve this better than I.

congratulation trastes, beautiful theme, you have good taste.
but scroll title bar isn't blue like Mac OS X SL or L, you want to do it the same even in future versions?
and last question, what dock you suggest to use for linux?
thanks, bye

 title bar contrast

in mine there is a contrast of the title bar with the rest of the window just in Nautilus. title bar is brighter than the rest of the window, and this is darker (window).
it's normal?

The title bar ... I think because you have not selected the theme with the option of Unity "Adwaita Cupertino L Unity" (necessary by the globalmenu)

To change the color of sidebar, inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some instructions (styles for nautilus and glassy buttons) is easy :)

Regarding the dock, simply the dock extension of gnome-shell

i'd wanna know how change the display order of nautilus buttons, back and forward buttons are in right side corner in the nautilus 3.2, before in 2.x versions were on left side corner, that's very best :s
may you help me?

For what you want, you should install marlin

I do not know if this site will be updated, but I think it will be useful

depends on the icon theme to use, you can change the icon theme in gnome-tweak-tool.

The theme of the first screenshot is elementary,
the second does not know

I don't mean icons. In original mac buttons are gray with shdows and in this theme button are blue with shine or like on my screenshot.

Linux is not mac (this is more important than it seems), I've wanted to do something inspired by mac not a mac clone.
Also, in my humble opinion, I think it's impossible to get a Linux system is a perfect clone of mac, there are too many differences between the two systems and between the applications of both systems.

For me, the theme is well so, I'll only make changes to correct bugs, sorry

I don't wont Mac and I like my Linux.

Your theme are very cute, but imho buttons in Mac OS much prettier.

Just look on image: http://ompldr.org/vY2NzMg

Blue button we have, gray button I've got after making some changes to make it more like buttons in OS X.

I would have done my theme if I could, but that that's a first time when I open theme's sources.

Sorry for my Eng. I'm sorry that I can't describe all what I wish.

do not worry, my english is worse :)

this is also my first theme and I think I understand what you mean.
my PC is dual boot, hackintosh with Lion and linux, and you're right, mac buttons are better, but my main problem is the GTK2 apps.

in GTK3 is easy to get better buttons, it is then difficult to get the GTK2 apps look the same. At least with my level of knowledge.

My hackintosh desktop with preferences dialog of itunes
http://ompldr.org/vY2N1Nw/Lion_iTunes.png
the button [Aceptar] nor is such as your screenshot ;)

For example, in Lion the blue of button is animated, changing from light to dark until it is pressed. how to do it in GTK3? and GTK2? simply do not know how, there are many more details ...
