Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

Faience-Azur

or
Elementary icons theme

if you use Chrome, for the scroll bars

You have to change some color definitions in the settings.ini file, /gtk-2.0/gtkrc and /gtk-3.0/gtk.css

plus some PNGs (4 x checkbox, 4 x radiobutton, switches, ...), metacity buttons (12 PNGs) and Unity panel buttons.

I find it easier to do it myself to explain in detail.

When finished MediterraneanNight 2.0, I will try to add it in the next update

Awesome interface man, I really love it.
I'd really like to know how I can make the title bar darker.
Only the title bar, something like a # 242424.
Thanks.

Sorry for the delay

download:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/80497678/metacity-cupertino-dark.tar.gz

copy the contents of the file "metacity-cupertino-dark.tar.gz" in folder ../Gnome-Cupertino/metacity-1/ or ../Gnome-Cupertino-Unity/metacity-1/

logout and login, .. and ready :)

The base color is #383838 but if you want another, just edit the new files metacity-theme-1.xml and metacity-theme-3.xml and can change the values for the one you like.
(search and replace #383838 by another #RRGGBB)

 Blurry switch

First, I love the theme.

Jut want to let you know in online accounts the switch is blurry. (doesn't happen with other themes so I figure it's related to this).

http://screencloud.net/v/vtY5 In other apps it is not blurry like that.

As is a bit long to explain, download this file
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/80497678/Metacity-Borderless-Explanation.tar.gz

in the document explained the changes I made between adwaita-cupertino (with edges) and gnome-cupertino (borderless)

Considering that I'm no expert, just explain what I did and it has worked. There's probably another way to do it by someone who knows more than me.

If you still have doubts let me know and I will try to help in any way possible

I have no doubts:)
I have aliased corners with all themes. Here is comparison of adwaita-cupertino and gnome-cupertino:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/107372210/cupertino_comparison.png
It seems that it's a compiz bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz-core/+bug/827537).
But on Your screenshots everything is ok.

I think because my screenshots are made in gnome-shell not unity. Therefore not use compiz

At first glance I notice the difference when I test themes in unity or in gnome-shell

 Possible Bug

by tigrang on: Feb 12 2013

Score 50%

Another issue I've noticed is when I open File Roller/Nautilus the windows border/frame shows, but it's contents takes longer to show (and as a result I see the window border but my wallpaper inside of it) and it flickers when the content finally shows up.

This doesn't happen with the default theme.
