Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

or

if you use Chrome, for the scroll bars

 Theme bug?

 by KingHitman21 on: Dec 3 2012

For some reason, not sure if its only me but when I change the code in gtk.css and set the top bar to the unity white mac style, it doesn't make it white. Instead it makes it dark. Using theme on 12.10. Other than that great work on theme!

the statement "import" should be exactly like this (assuming here look good quotes):

@import url("unity-white.css");

careful with the semicolon at the end, panel changes require close/open session.

 Windows decorations do not work on F18

 by ondex on: Dec 4 2012

I'm running an up-to-date Fedora 18 (gnome-shell 3.6.2 and mutter 3.6.2).

Mutter display the basic (ugly) decorations instead of the one from the theme. I have this warning in ~/.cache/gdm/session.log (translated from french, so it is not exact):
Warning from window manager : Unable to load the theme « Gnome-Cupertino » : Unable to find a valid file for the theme Gnome-Cupertino

where you installed the theme?
"personal-folder/.themes" or "usr/share/themes"

gnome3.6-metacity-mutter is giving problems with "personal-folder/.themes"

Thanks for your great work.

"Why the tabs on Nautilus is no the same like Gedit and the Terminal?"
because I do not like, because it does not match the tab left edge with the left edge of the window

"Also the corner tab on the terminal has something wrong?"
try to improve it before the final version
