Description:

Gnome-Cupertino and Gnome-Cupertino-Mint for Gnome 3.6.x

The upgrade to 2.x (and name change) is a bit drastic, and it is because I had to practically the theme from scratch and make a decision to keep only one of the previous two L and SL. Another reason for name change is because the theme does not use the adwaita-engine over several versions.

Version for unity due to global-menu

* IMPORTANT *
- GTK3 theme: unico-engine is no longer necessary for the theme
- GTK2 theme: uses gtk2-engines-murrine and gtk2-engines-pixbuf
- Ubuntu 12.10 comes by default with gnome 3.6 and nautilus-3.4 (though you can upgrade to nautilus-3.6), but if you have nautilus-3.4, you must set the theme for nautilus-3.4, as explained in the readme.txt

- Inside the theme folder there is a readme.txt file with some really simple instructions (styles for nautilus, 4 tab styles, glassy buttons, Unity top panel white mac style, some fix)

Hope you like it for everyday use.

I recommend this fantastic icon themes:

or

if you use Chrome, for the scroll bars

Very nice theme. I'm just curious that why the name Adwaita cupertino? It uses Unico engine. Right?

The first version was made with the adwaita-engine, was a later version when adapted to unico-engine.

But yes, I should rethink rename it, on the other hand ;),the change I made from your gnome-shell theme is not here, is in GrayDay,

I have the feeling that you have edited the gtkrc file and made a small syntax error.

If you edit gtkrc with gedit, in gedit select options 'show line numbers', and check the line 703, is the line where the error is occurring.

Mhh, I can not remember that I edited this file. I thought that I just made some changes in GTK3. But you are right, checkradio > radiobutton was the solution.
Thanks again for you qick reply!

Sorry the delay in responding, I've been traveling and I could not

It's something I've tried but have not found a way to do it, Metacity manages mouse-hover in one button simultaneously

 Dark Panel

Score 50%

Hey. I'm really fond of the theme. Thank you. But one think i really love is dark panels and grey mac-like themes together. I can see in the gtk.css that it somehow should be possible to make the panel grey. I'm using the Unity L version of the theme btw.
Can you explain how i make it dark?

In the next update will include it, the dark panel is included in my other theme GrayDay
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/GrayDay?content=149310

For now what you can do is download GrayDay and copy the file
../GrayDay/gtk-3.0/unity-darkest.css in ../Adwaita Cupertino L Unity/gtk-3.0/

then edit (gedit) the file ../Adwaita Cupertino L Unity/gtk-3.0/gtk.css and find (about line 218)
@import url("unity.css");
and replace with
@import url("unity-darkest.css");

good luck :)

will the next version be compatible with gtk 3.5.x? it has some small window/unity panel color issues, and some widgets are drawn wrong (square instead of round for example)

I do not know, I think it depends on how the changes affect the theme, 2 months ago that I have gnome 3.4, now is a bit early to think about gnome 3.5.

After my bad experience with v3.2 to v3.4 update I decided not to work more with beta versions, sorry I have not enough time

I'm getting different colors for the overall theme, like a brownish tone instead of silver and gray. Any idea why?

A bit strange really is, you may have a problem with the installation of unico-engine?

which distro you use?

I'm using arch linux. I have the unico engine installed but isn't that for GTK2 apps? Any ways you can clearly see the difference on nautilus (gtk3). Take a look here:

P.S. Thanks for the quick response!
