GTK 3.x Theme/Style

Updated:  Oct 13 2011

Description:

Unity/Gtk2.0/Gtk3.0/Metacity Theme based on elementary Gtk2.0/Gtk3.0/Metacity. Gtk3.0 has been almost completely rewritten from scratch and modified with unity panel support while retaining the elements that make that theme awesome.

Full credit to elementary team for their inspired design.

0.0.2

Fixed issue with file-chooser sidebar items behaving glitchy

0.0.1

Gnome Shell/Gnome Classic variation included.
Simply extract the folders into .themes and use gnome tweak tool to change to the appropriate theme depending on your desktop.

Requires:

Unico engine
Murrine engine

Known issues:

-Thunderbird toolbar uses selected_fg_color and therefore uses white text. Either all gtk2.0 menus must be light so that selected_fg_color can be dark or thunderbird has white text. I haven\'t found a way to fix it after hours of tweaking.

For gnome3 classic and gnome shell use ElementsGS theme included.

How do I install this in Oeniric?

Cobra Commander didn't start wearing a hood until he got a look at Duke in his winter hat.

Hi! If you've just installed Oneiric you need to create a directory in your home folder called .themes and extract the folders from the .zip to it. Then open software centre and install gnome-tweak-tools. Open gnome-tweak-tools and click on theme to change gtk and window theme to Elements(unity).

Also .themes will be a hidden folder (as any folder with a full stop in front of it is) so to see it when you are extracting the zip, move to your home directory and press ctrl+h

How did you make the frames around the icons in the side panel black?

Hi! Do you mean the nautilus side-panel? If so you can theme it by using the following css:

NautilusWindow .sidebar,
NautilusWindow .sidebar .view {
background-color: @fg_color;
color: @selected_fg_color;
}

Where my fg_color for the theme is dark and selected_fg_color will contrast with the dark colour (ie white).

 Love the theme, found another very minor glitch

Another very, very minor glitch in the theme seems to be that the battery and wireless indicators on the top right in the screen get a little bit distorted or pixelated when using certain icon themes, such as the default icon theme for Ubuntu.
Other than that great job!
