Look at the date it was submitted/updated - it's designed for 3.2.
I'd recommend Freize for a 3.4/upcoming 3.6 theme: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Frieze+Gnome+Shell?content=150529

 Excelent work

I love this theme. It made my Gnome-Shell look nice again.

I have a little annoyance though: The GTK2 and GTK3 themes don't match. Gtk2 theme is light but Gtk3 theme is dark.

TIA!

the same thing on ubuntu
for me works to copy metacity theme to /usr/share/themes

sudo mkdir /usr/share/themes/Faience
sudo cp -r ~/.themes/Faience/metacity-1 /usr/share/themes/Faience
sudo cp ~/.themes/Faience/index.theme /usr/share/themes/Faience

Works, indeed.
I'd not thought of making changes outside my home.
Thanks.

 missing switches in the non english localies

 by bolodya on: Nov 15 2012

Great theme, but if any use it with not english localy, then there will not be switches in the user, network manager, bluetooth panels (top right corner).

The reason is 2 missed files: toggle-on-intl.svg and toggle-off-intl.svg

hope author will fix it easily.

But to fix it right now you just neeed to:
cd ~/.themes/Faience/gnome-shell/assets
cp toggle-on-us.svg toggle-on-intl.svg
cp toggle-off-us.svg toggle-off-intl.svg

Hello,

Thank you for this beautiful theme. I've just found a minor typo in file gtk-3.0/gtk-apps.css
> border-image: url("./assets/gedit-pane.svg") 32 1 / 32px 1px stretch;

< border-image: url("../assets/gedit-pane.svg") 32 1 / 32px 1px stretch;

Best regards

 Some applications have dark version

Hi!
Great theme but some of my applications have a diffrent style form others. For example Totem and shotwell are in dark style while the rest of the others in white style... is it possibile to fix that problem?

It is not a bug but a new Gnome feature: some applications can adopt a dark theme for a better visibility of their content (totem, eye of gnome, boxes, etc).
I you don't like it, you can remove the gtk-main-dark.css file in the theme folder.

thanks! i will do it! Only another report... some application when are inactive have a strange look i think is due to menu that them use. If you take for example firefox or vlc if them are inactive there is a big diffrent from the color of the border decoration and their menu... probably because menu is not written in gtk?

Those applications are written in GTK2 which, unlike GTK3, does not support different graphical characteristics for widgets contained in unfocused windows. That is why the menubar color does not change where the window is inactive while the metacity border does.
