Description:

P.S. sorry of the crappy quality of my previews on Gnome-look, the site doesn\'t let me do much and I don\'t want to spend more time on it than it really deserves. So every change will be uploaded to dA, I\'ll just update the changelog.

IMPORTANT:

There is a bug preventing extensions from getting fixed using user-themes:

- If you want an extension supported, ask.
- If you want the already-supported extensions' styles to take effect you will need to manually comment out their styles in /.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/xxx@xxx/stylesheet.css. Otherwise it's broken. :)
- If you're still on 3.4 DO NOT update. I don't have an old version.

One last thing, If you like to take this effort and build on it, please do but give me credit by linking back to my page. Thank you!
(I know I have licensing issues, will fix)

Changelog:

:: July, 3rd 2011: 1.0

:: September, 5th 2011: 1.1

:: October, 8th 2011: 1.2b

:: January, 5th 2012: 1.2

:: 08/02/2012: 1.2.1

:: June, 14th 2012: 1.4b
- Initial GNOME 3.4 support.

:: June, 14th 2012: 1.6
- GNOME 3.6 support.

:: 16/06/2013: 1.8

- Fixed for GNOME 3.8.
- Completely redesigned: Featuring nicer widgets and reworked dialogs. Should impress. ;)
- Corrected many regrassions from 1.6.

Yes, I switched from bold to regular weights(read the changelog), which exposed a problem with your font rendering settings.
You could try playing with the hints in the 'fonts' section (inside GNOME Tweak Tool) or edit the initial.css file and change it back to: font-weight:bold;
Or, fix you settings.(depending on your distro)

Thanks for the reply. I've set it to bold.

I like it best that way :)

I'm really really enjoying this theme. It's by far the best I've used. It's understated, yet crisp and modern. Well done!

Yes, I'm aware of this. As you know, every theme has a bunch of use-cases that doesn't work well with.
I'll see what I can do about that.

 just a request for your theme

hi dear,

I really love your theme, especially because of this nice glassy-look panel. Now my question would be: could you make the menues the same glassy way, as you have your panel?? The thing is, that these white menues do not look so good with my nice Christmas-Wallpapers here. Perhaps you could consider to make the menues the same glassy way as your nice panel??

But overall I need to say: a very nice glassy-look and awsome-theme

Greetings
Karmicbastler

The was actually the plan from the beginning. However, because Mutter doesn't support the blur, a transparent menu is bad idea. The menus are overlayed on other windows which makes them unusable if the window is complex enough.

Try coping the gradient from panel.css to popup-menu.css and see for yourself.

 Cinnamon Request

I love your theme, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to make it Cinnamon compatible? If you don't know, Cinnamon is a Gnome Shell fork that goes for a more classic Gnome 2.x look.

I was thinking about supporting Cinnamon. I'll look into it when I have enough time, no promises, though.
