The theme looks broken with Nautilus 3 as well as if you're not using a Global Menu. Here's a screenshot:

Can you fix this please?

Yes. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and Unico from the repos.

Here's another screenshot: Gedit 3 looks ok but Totem 3 looks broken like Nautilus 3: http://i.imgur.com/xCFLR.png

Yes, that ugly separator in Nautilus 3 / Totem 3 also appears in the original Elementary GTK3 theme.

That's basically the main issue (though the dark totem looks weird too, especially the menu).

@hotice

just now I had updated to OO. then here is my nautilus:
http://i53.tinypic.com/a1he.jpg

yep. exactly appearance of menubar had changed on OO, but mine is not so ugly... even though I had revreted unico package to what I was using on Natty, but it did not make any differences... X(

so did you see any other engined themes? like adwaita, hope, or something like that... I also continuing to track these issues down! :)

The Nautilus menu issue no longer occurs for me, I think just restarting Nautilus fixed it.

So now it's just that separator...

that's based on here:
http://half-left.deviantart.com/art/GNOME-Shell-Elementary-193232931

and then I've modded it to apply darker top-panel and "e" logo... ^_^

the man half-left had done an amazing work for elementary themed gnome-shell!!

Hi gracca. :)

Thanks for your posting.
well... I always love the most rules of elementary. of course the dark menu, too! so I wanna keep the faith of elementary artwork created by DanRabbit. but one thing. the default theming has too shiny white background in many places, I only did not like that...

Finally in the future, as far as I know... :P
cheers.

This is a wonderfull theme, and one of the few that actually work well with the current version in oneiric. Thanks.

Just one problem so far - in libreoffice the background color of the paper is grey:

Hi timorei.

Thanks for your post!!

and then, I also experienced such ugly appearances on LibreOffice... so I could recommend a workaround:

http://i52.tinypic.com/jrdxl1.png

1. kick LibreOffice main menu.
2. follow main-menu -> Tools -> Options.
3. follow LibreOffice -> Appearance.
4. create new "color-scheme" to use white document background.
5. save and apply this color-scheme.

today I've done like this. my apologies now I'm searching for the solution on LibreOffice but these had some engines as self-configured... so sometimes gtk theming might be avoided, maybe. yeah I've already tried some "avoidance" for LibreOffice, but never be successfully... :(

 Nautilus Background

Hi there, the theme changed my Nautilus background to the grey - how can I change it back to white? (Changing to other GTK3 themes doesn't help, it retains the grey.)

Hi.

Really?
Generally nautilus's appearances should be changed by changing gtk3 themes... :S

So could you logout and re-login again and check it out? then gtk3 desktops, I could recommend gnome-tweak-tool to control gnome3 appearance... For my environments, that tool could change gtk3 themes dynamically and properly...

cheers.

Nope, I use gnome-tweak-tool ordinarily, but it's not changing the Nautilus background (I even tried Adwaita trying to get back a default setup). Gnome 2 had an option of setting the background in Nautilus windows, whereas Gnome/Nautilus 3 doesn't. It'll probably be set in dconf-editor - but I can't find the setting (yet).
