 Broken link?

 by louiswu49 on: Jan 17 2011

A blank page with the words "not found", or the file download.php, containing simply the words "not found", if I "save link as". Happened yesterday elsewhere on gnome-look, too.

This is perfect!
Great job!

Can I be a newb and ask a Q? lol

I have used conky before..
but was walked through it, and have forgotten most of it.

I just need to know..

Where do I put both of the files?
I have copied "conky_orange" to my '.conkyrc' file, and when I start it , it looks ok,

But since I dont know what to do with the second file "conky_orange.lau"
the round "meter circles" are missing from my desktop..

So,
Can you explain it for me,
as easy as possible?
lol

DO I need to have a separate "conky" folder?
or do both the conky_orange files go in the same place?
and if so, how?
thank you.

Sorry for being a noob!

Nevermind.
I figured it out.

This is really nice, and a great job!

But why you would not post the actual instructions, (or even include a "readme" file with "how-to"), is beyond me.

FOr anyone still wondering..

You have to put the ".lua" file into a separate folder named .conky.

and you also have to have a package called
liblua5.1-gnome-0
installed.

 Still having problem...

by mslinux on: Jan 22 2011

I'm still having error with :
llua_do_call: function conky_main execution failed: attempt to call a nil value

I've got liblua5.1-gnome-0 installed and place the files in the corrent directories.
Or is this only for Ubuntu? Because I see a lot of 'ubuntu' word on the script ( eg: font ubuntu:size 20 )

Thank you

Great design.

Maybe only to include conditional network IP address showing (eg. gray inactive "No Address, and white when active).

Here is mine suggestion:

good idea :)

a lot of things to do wih conky, that's why this conkyrc is rather a mean to present the conky.lua

I'm not very satisfied with the "net section", but one could add other rings like here :
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=880983#p880983
