 Best conky I've seen!

With the previous version , the weather would't show. So I fixed it by putting the area code , the partner id and key , directly into the code line with the web adress (to get the weather info) and it worked.
Now ,could you explain how to insert the lines , to the backround?

Hey. :)
For using the lines on the background, just open "Lines.png" with Gimp and put the image in the top left corner of your wallpaper.

Could you send me the script you've edited?
So I can update it for future versions.

Best regards,
Ken.

Open fav. wallpaper (in YOUR resolution) with gimp.
Then:
data -> open as layers... -> "lines.png"

Now move this layer in the top left corner.

save.
done.

:)

 Looks great, but gmail broken

I think this looks beautiful! I just installed it. thanks!

My one complaint is that I can't seem to get it to connect to gmail. From what I've seen while googling this issue, is that I'm not the first one to encounter it.
I'd appreciate it if you could offer a solution.
Thanks!

I would like to know how to change the time to 12 hour format instead of army time.

${voffset 105}${goto 123}${font Santana:size=24:style=Bold}${time %H:%M}

this is the line in /home/me/.Conky/rings file that determines the time but I dont know which letter determines the hour format ("H" is for the 24 hour format) do you know what is used for the 12 hour format?

Thanks!

Should be this:

${time %I:%M %P}

Please try it and post your result.
:)

I changed the "H" to "l" and it changed to the 12 hour format without the preceeding "0" in front of the hour. If "I" is used it leaves the "0" in front of the single digit hour.

${voffset 105}${goto 123}${font Santana:size=24:style=Bold}${time %I:%M}${voffset -9}${font Santana:style=Bold:size=12}${time %p}${font}

I was able to find a web site with all the variables listed so it is really easy to figure out how to configure it all :)

http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/jaunty/man3/strftime.3.html

I absolutely love the way my desktop looks now! I've tweaked it a little to make it fit my desktop dimensions but it looks great
