 Screenlets

by simongaiteiro on: Jul 22 2010

Great icons!

I've found a little issue with screenlets. Firstable, I've changed its icon with the script and they work properly but when I try to open the main window (Applications>Accesories>Screenlets) it doesn't come up. It was because it wasn't able to find the default icon in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/screenlets.svg. The icon name had been changed for screenlets-backup.svg. So, I've removed the "backup" from the name and it worked again but the default screnlets icon was restored. Would you be able to you take a look at it?

Another issue I've found is in Empathy. Now all the contacts look huge. I mean, every contact icon is huge.

For empathy icons, it's a known empathy bug (I'm trying to solve it by myself).

For screenlets it's strange, nobody until now has told me something similar.. I'll take a look on the script and I'll try to solve this issue! :D

 Nice!

I like the theme, just one suggestion:

the icons for files could use some differentiation (so that it's easier to see which icons are .doc, .xls, .txt etc. I'd like to see this in a future release:)

Otherwise, very nice! also good that most applications are supported (doesn't make my desktop look too messy)

One question: how do I get firefox to display the right icon in the application list on the panel? Is this even possible without recompiling?

 Problems with apps in Qt4

by gmandx on: Jul 26 2010

Score 50%

Apparently, Qt4 apps show the wrong icon size in menus and buttons, they only show the full 128x128 icon. I think it's because the icon set hasn't defined other icon sizes (those are suppose to be obtained resizing down the original 128x128 icon). But qt4 apps running under Gnome doesn't resize the icons!

 Empathy Icons Issue Fixed

by shoaibi on: Jul 31 2010

Download:
http://uploading.com/files/cmad3dde/AwOken.tar.gz

which contains fixes for Empathy Icon Issue. and after downloading say a big thanks to http://gnome-look.org/usermanager/search.php?username=OxayotlTheGreat

This was one time modification only. No more versions will be released. I would invite the author of this theme to download the file and check how it was fixed so he can improve it in future versions as well.

I'll fix this issue from the next release. It's fixed yet, I'm just changing something else to get a better icon set.
I'm in contact with oaxtilthegreat yet, and I've fixed the problem yet.
Your fix is not authorized. I can do this witouth your help.

You seem offended, i am sorry if i ever did something that would cause that, i just wanted to make sure that people gets the best out of the best theme when they want and it seemed as if this issue has been here for long without any fixes releases.

And i also got it done from oaxtilthegreat, tried myself but couldn't figure out much. There is also same problem with emotes icons, you must fix that as well...

Regarding not authorizing, you sure can, but in such case please fix the issue yourself so people don't keep missing things. Like i myself had download this theme 3 days ago and everytime i wanted to use it, i decided no to due to issues and was stuck with other icon themes.

Be the part of community, care for the community, get community support and feedback.

Good luck and thanks.

Sorry for my response, it's not mine but from a friend of mine that helps me in this project, expecially in this period in wich I'm very busy.

I apologize for the fact, if I answered by myself I would not have done such an answer!

The issue is really fixed, but I waited a bit because I wanted to fix other problems before upload another version.

However, I've uploaded a new version. Is the 0.9, and it will have a lot of problems, but the issue related to all icon's resizing is fixed!

Sorry again

Alecive (the true :D)
