 Google chrome and pidgin icons

Hey there,
Great job with the icons.. They're really beautiful.. However, I'm having trouble with google chrome, mozilla thunderbird and pidgin icons.

Here is the problem: The icons of these applications have changed in my cairo dock, desktop and application folder. But, they're still using the default icons inside the toolbar when i run them.
I'm using ubuntu 10.10 gnome.. Please let me know if there is anything I should do to fix it or if it has been resolved already.

Here is a screenshot of what I'm saying: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15806728/11.png

Please help..

1- Restart computer
2- Restart X
3- restart toolbar
4- restart the applications
5- gtk-update-icon-cache

Hi! These are application-related issues. Since that software don't follow system specifications, It's quite tricky for me get them work in the right way (I'd add an option in the customization script, and moreover this would not be sufficient), so you have to modify yourself.

Try a quick search to understand better what to do! ;)

Thanks for your reply! I've tried almost an hour searching the forums to see if anyone had this problem and I couldn't find any related info. Do you know any links that might help?

Regards

A quick search leads me to this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=30133

It's not exactly the same you desired, but with some modifications it should help you in doing this! Unfortunately, only proper stuff I found was in italian :S

 empathy icon sizes

Sorry, i'm not sure if you've touched on this or not. I like your theme a lot, but found that the empathy status icons were too large, especially once I shrank the application font size. I found that creating:

Quote:
user-available-panel.png user-busy-panel.png user-idle.png user-offline-panel.png
user-available.png user-busy.png user-indeterminate.png user-offline.png
user-away-panel.png user-extended-away.png user-invisible-panel.png user-online.png
user-away.png user-idle-panel.png user-invisible.png

(resized in gimp)

in

Quote:
/usr/share/icons/AwOkenDark/clear/16x16/status

allowed them to be smaller and to fit my whole buddy list on screen. I'm not sure if you want to consider adding this to your customization script or not. But at least there's the info on changing it if anyone likes.

Hi!

Sorry for the late reply.. however, I forgot to add it to this version, but from the next you will see improving in this sense!
I added also support for coloration script.

PS: I really don't know if anyone else uses so tiny icons, but anyway it's a sustainable increase in size, so I added it to the iconset! :)

Superb icons. I have been using these since more than a year. Just wanted to ask if it is possible to get the smily icons in Empathy coloured.

It's an open problem for me.. those emoticons are quite ugly, and I have to work on them. But I haven't any smart idea to get a good effect! Maybe the best is removing them and use default icons.

What do you think about this?

if I use the elegant gnome pack by arobase, which has your icon set, then the emoticons are coloured.

Those theme is a deviation of mine. In mine, there's a customization script from wich you can decide if some icons are colored or not. So in my opinion, it's better using directly mine, is more updated and it gives you more choices! :)
