This is a gnome panel applet that lets you switch between open windows using icons.

If you build from source run configure with --prefix=/usr. Without it applet won't be listed.

./configure --prefix=/usr
sudo make install

Logout from session and login again.

It works well in Lucid, as far as I can tell (been using it all day with no issues), even though the .debs specify Karmic. Thanks again!

Great applet - but it needs to support themes (like dockbarx, which is missing the important window preview function)

Hi, i can translate Talika to Turkish. But i can't manage to find .pot file in source tarball or svn tree. would you mind to add .pot file into source code? Also i'd like to build Mandriva Linux RPM package.

Great applet. Can you make it so launching a pinned app starts the app in $HOME? Currently, lanuching gnome-terminal and gvim starts the apps in /.

Build and install from svn.


sudo apt-get install subversion gnome-common libglib2.0-dev libpanel-applet2-dev libwnck-dev
svn co https://talika.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/talika talika
cd talika/trunk/
./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr
sudo make install

great work I must say I have just 3 petitions to you for improve of this great project:

- support for different themes
- customize icon width (feature)
- Window preview with transparent borders
