 About Input method

 by flyinghigh on: Dec 21 2009

Good theme especially the menu-item arrow.

But I have a problem , if you use input method (I'm using ibus and I have to print Chinese characters).

You will find the color of the characters in the pop up bar are all in black , and the bar in a very dark color, that is hard to recgnize.

And I can't find where to change the color setting in the gtkrc.

Can you tell me what to do, thanks

This is major problem with Linux,everyone does what he wants, this app uses text color instead of fg color, or uses bg color instead of base color. Unfortunately, here nothing can be done, except you can try some red or green or blue for text color,but theme won't look so nice. Just edit in gtkrc text[NORMAL].

of the Silent Night theme ?

The icon themes included with the package are similar but not the same. The icon theme that is used in the screen shots appears to be Token, but again it's not included in the package.

The silent night itunes theme looks very very similar to aspects of this theme, but again, it's not identical. Some o the shading is different. However, it's close enough that i think a nod should be given to it in the description. Even the theme name suggests that. All that would be needed would be an "Inspired by Silent Night for Itunes [link]".

 emerald theme for 3rd screen

I'd really love an emerald theme that matches the metacity theme you have in screen-shot 3, complete with rounded top edges.

I just love this theme.

 mashed it up and it's awesome!

 by bearcatsandor on: Jan 9 2010

Thanks for the 3rd emerald theme! I've made a mash-up of the dark and light themes: mostly the dark one but using the scroll bars, arrows and sliders from the light theme to match the title bar graphics, as well as the icon theme from the light set. It looks fantastic.

Although, in a few years i'll be 40 and this theme may not be as usable to me forever :")

There is one issue i can't figure out on my own. I'm using the Scrollbars folder from the light theme. I've changed the GtkVscale::slider_length and width to match the light theme and done that for the Hscale as well. I've copied the scrollbar style from the light theme to it as well.

Still, the slider goes past the end of the inset in the trough. Either the trough needs to lengthen somehow or the slide needs to not slide as far.

Any ideas?

GtkVScale and GtkHScale is for range,this is for scrolbars:

GtkRange::trough_border =0
GtkRange::slider_width =15
GtkRange::stepper_size =19

and you have to comment this line:

GtkRange::trough-under-steppers = 0

That worked. It was commenting GtkRange::trough-under-steppers line that did it!

Thank you! Not only are you a great artist you're a great help as well.
