Description:

Azenis Icon themes, made to compliment their Gtk counterparts, currently including Standard (Blue version) in the main download, a red alternative in the second and an orange version in the third.

These themes are comprised of a small base set of icons from the preface icon set created by dar0ckx and my own icons to extend it and make it more Linux friendly.

Anyway enjoy the themes, i hope you like them and let me know what you think =)

 Not installable

i an not install this theme. I only get a .gz-Theme and when I want to install thie icons, then I get the Error-message "Bei der Installation ist ein Fehler aufgetreten"- The theme Azenis_Red_Icons _by_Jameshardy88.gz scheint kein gültiges Theme zu sein.".

Karmicbastler

 Azenis_Red_Icons not installab

sorry, that i posted in German. I should better try to post in English as I see.

OK, the point is this: I can't install the icons. I get an error-message. The Download-Link leads to the page from deviantart. But on the Download, you only receive a .gz-Package (not a tarball!!). And as soon as I want to installt the icons, the error-message is this one: "An error occured at installation. The Azenis:_Red_Icons_by_jameshardy88.zg doesn't seem to be a valid theme".

So how to install the icons, because the gtk is installable and works out fine. Only the icons can't be installed.

So could you please post a short installation-instruction or repack the icons into a tarball (.tar.gz-archive)?

Thanks for your help.

Greetings
Karmicbastler

No problem, yes unfortunately the upload site that i am currently using puts the file in a strange package. I am trying to find a better place to upload to so that this problem can be avoided. However until then what you need to do is once you have downloaded that file ("Azenis_Icons_by_jameshardy88.gz", or whatever it is called) simply open it up until you see a folder simply named Azenis Icons (it should have an index.theme file in it as well as a folder named "scalable") move this to your desktop and right click on it. Select create archive, then simply create the archive with the default name and ensure it is a tar.gz. After that simply install like you would a normal theme. Hope this helps, let me know if you need any further assistance, ill be happy to help =)

 Azenis Red Icons not installab

hello again,
thank you for your installation-instruction. Yes this helped me a lot and I learned something new from this. I learned from you, how to repack icons like this and make them work for me. Thank you.
Now the theme is working as it should.
One question in addition to that: I already use your Azenis green Icons. So is there a possibility for you to create this gtk-Theme also in green so that it fits to the Aznis green icons?

Kind regards,
Karmicbastler

P.s. thank you again for your help!

Actually the Azenis Green Icons were not made by me, ardchoille45 recoloured them. He has also already made a green version of the gtk and metacity themes which can be found here...

http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Azenis+Green?content=112432

There is also a red and a purple version of the Azenis theme available, although currently the purple version is without Icons.

Thank you for this advicce. I needed your instruction to install the red Theme including the icons and just installed it successfully.
I also wanted to thank you for your link leading to the green gtk. Now I am finally searching for the blue one to install the blue theme even.
Then I will finally have the red, the blue and the green Azenis theme thanks to your help!!
These themes are great work and I enjoy them so much!!! Thank you again for creating so much nice ideas.
One question: could you also include an orange theme perhaps? This would finish up my helloween-Desktop. Perhaps you think about it.

Greetings and thank you again,
Karmicbastler
