Hello and thanks for this great theme. Thanks to the script in it, I can get the colors that fit in my gtk theme.

Only one question : have you got an icon for floppy disks ?

Thanks again,
Sirsurthur

Hi and thanks for your kind words! I am not quite sure what you mean, are you missing an icon? There is a floppy icon but I do not know if it works as I haven't owned a floppy drive in years....

Anyway the floppy icon is located in the "devices" folder.

In order to skin xfce power manager icons are needed named "xfpm-..." in the same way as "gpm-..." for gnome power manager.

I made links using this in the status folder:
Quote:
for f in gpm*; do ln -s $f "xf"`echo $f | cut -c2-` ; done

Thanks for a great theme.

Would it be possible to create a list of programs without icons as yet, that can be added to and removed from with each release?

Missing icons on my system:
Alltray
Golly
PipeWalker
Ristretto
gtk-recordMyDesktop
PiTiVi
Rubyripper
Thoggen
LottaNZB
Midori
Sabnzbd+
Xchat
Gummi
Gmount-iso
Awn settings
ATI Catalyst Control Center
Blueman (tray icons)
xfce4panel (in settings manager)
xfce window manager tweaks (in settings manager)
xfce workspaces (in settings manager)

I will try to work through this list as time allows.

Hi and thanks for taking an interest in the theme.

The commands are nice but personally I would use "cp -d" instead of "ln -s" that way the symlinks point to the source file, but thats just me being a little ocd.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "added to and removed from with each release" could you explain that a little further?

I have a midori icon for the next release so you can cross that off the list. And there should be a awn settings icon in the apps folder, so just renaming it should do the trick.

Fantastic! The program to customize the icons works very well!

I use TexMakerX[1] and Scribes[2], and I would like to see icons for them :)

Okay, so i quickly out together some icons for you. I simply made a latex icons for TexMakerX.

You can download them here:
http://www.filesavr.com/94m1m1mu

Copy the two folders to ~/.icons/ACYL_Icon_Theme_0.9/scalable/

Hope this helps. =)

Thanks for your time switzak...but the tar file is empty :(

TexMakerX is a fork of Texmaker and the icon is the same, you can found it here:

Okey, it seams that the file host corrupts the file for some reason. =/

I will try to find another file host later, as I'm a little short on time right now.

Nice update, Isak :)

Will install them tomorrow and give em a spin, but I'm sure they'll be as great as always.

Glad you kept the CLI script (I prefer CLI), but I'll test out the GUI one as much as I can.

Cheers.

Thanks! If you have any thoughts about the gui I would love to hear them.

And just a little heads up! It has come to my attention that when running the gui in none gnome DEs one runs into some dependency issues, I have already solved the problem but have not had time to put together a new release.

To solve it you have to remove the line that says "import gnome.ui" in the file "~/.icons/ACYL_Icon_Theme_0.9/scalable/scripts/script_gui.py"

I am quite pleased with the gui as it not only look pretty but actually adds some functionality which I just couldn't figure out how to implement in the cli part smoothly. =)

Isak,

Apologies for the late response, but I suddenly got called away for work.

Anyways, I've been playing around with the GUI version of your script for the past couple of days, and I must say it's very, very impressive.

Only complaint (a very minor one) I can think of, at least on my setup, is the "Apply To" part. For example, if I want to go back and just change the values for the folders, document, mp3..etc icons, I have to select the "All" option next to the "Apply To" and it will then overwrite my values for the action icons as well. Of course, if I take an extra step and select values and apply to "Actions" after I do the "Apply to All" step, it's fine. Not really a major issue, but just an extra step needed if one wants to just change his folder colours without touching the action colours.

From our past e-mail exchanges, you probably know I run quite a unique hacked-up Openbox setup, so I'm not sure whether this only affects me or is a general problem.

Other than that, I'm loving it. The new icons additions (especially the Token-esque Tok-Tok) are very nice indeed.

Now I'm hoping you add a Moblin version for your next offering ;) ... I've always liked the Moblin minimal style, but didn't really like it's multi-color approach (arrows are green, folders are gret, volume is grey and blue).... if you could make it work with your script, I'd sacrifice a giant Yeti in your honor!! :D

Thanks again, mate!!

I see what you mean with the "apply to" part and it is not just you. It's very easy to implement something like "Apply to: Other", all that is needed is implemented in the back-end already. =)

The moblin icons are nice, and it wouldn't be too hard to import the folders into the this theme, thought I don't know how they would look with the rest of the icons. Maybe I'll integrate it along with an option to change navigation icons......

On a side note, I have made a filter that somewhat resembles the moblin icons. It got a few problems like it doesn't scale well to all icon sizes so I have not included it in the release but you can try it out if you want,

save this as a file, import it in the acyl gui and apply from "Code View".

Cheers!
