the good: great theme. the new outline filter is awesome (first filter i ever used)

the bad: apply to: panel is gone :'(

now i tried color a, filter outline -> apply to all with 0.9.3, then color b filter none -> apply to panel which gives me the setup i had in 0.9.2 (panel ok, rest without filter, just like it was in 0.9.2)

color b without filter -> custom -> status (since the nm-*.svgs are in status/ ) changes icons in warnings, but not in the panel

every other way i tried (copying 0.9.2 icons into the 0.9.3 folders; meddling with the code trying to replace the apply_custom with the apply_panel function etc) had no effect to the panel or broke the script.

help...

Well, the apply panel idea was nice. But the implementation was bad. This is because the panel icons comes from icons in other categories. It is unlikely that I will bring it back, unless someone actually makes a panel category for icon themes and that it is widely implemented.

If you are really desperate I have some ideas of how to get different icons for the panel. I will tell you the one I think is the best. I have not tried it, but I think it will work, but make a backup of the icons, just in case. =)

This assumes you use both the 0.9.2 and 0.9.3 versions.

Edit the "index.theme" file in acyl 0.9.2

Set the "name" attribute to something like "AnyColorYouLikePanel" then add a line under it that says "Inherits=AnyColorYouLike".

Now, go the the "real_icons" folder, still in 0.9.2 and remove all directories except the one named "panel". After that you should remove all the broken symlinks you can find in the icon categories located in the scalable folder.

This should make the 0.9.2 version only affect the panel icons and leave the rest of the icons to the 0.9.3 version. Just make sure the icon theme you use is the 0.9.2 version. =)

Hope this helps!

thanks, i will try that. however, i think since many users use ubuntu (i don't) it would be wise to reimplement this function. the general design as far as i can see (ubuntu lucid, elementary) is to have a panel with monocrome icons and other icons for the rest. and especially in ubuntu the panel color is (roughly) inverted. long story short: i think, no i know i'm not the only one with a dark upper panel (though in my case awesome bar) and a light gtk theme who wants a fitting systray

 Dependencies

Hi, first of all thanks for the great job! I'm using you icons since a few months on my laptop.

Today I was trying to configure them on my Desktop (Archlinux + Aesome3) but I got some dependencies errors.
I've already installed gtk2 and glade, so I can't understand what's missing.

Alright, if you have been looking in the python file then you might have seen which modules is imported. Those should be the only requirements to run the script. I don't know which packages contains these modules as I have never tried arch... Bash and perl would also be needed for everything to work.

What kind of output do you get when running the script?

It prints this error:
Some dependencies are missing!
The following ones are required:gtk, gtk.glade, sys, os, subprocess, shutil, ConfigParser

I'm quite sure bash and perl are present, anyway i'll check soon.

Ok, then it should be one or more of the modules listed that are missing. It could also be the gettext module, it should be listed there but I guess I missed it.

Gettext should be installed; I checked it after seeing its module in the script

Arch comes with python 3 right? Maybe the modules are installed for version 3 and not 2.7? I think it is something to look into at least.

I don't think it should be python.
I'm using them on my laptop since 1 or 2 months and also there I've got arch with python 3.

Okay, well from the error message given it does fail when loading the modules. I haven't got any more ideas of what the problem can be. So I can't help you without any more information. =(

Well the problem has been in a certain way "solved".
I simply decided that Awesome was not my favorite WM and after installing GNOME everything worked.
Anyway, thanks for the help!

I noticed that there aren't any LibreOffice icons yet. Are you going to add them into next release? :)

This is an AWESOME icon set. I wish you would add gFPT and HULU icons. Also, an odd request for us CrossOver users: Word, Excel and Powerpoint :-) But the first two, please. My vote took it to 80% :)
