 Startup crash

by Shukuyir on: Mar 11 2011

Score 50%

For some reason whenever I login, a dialog box opens saying:
"The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_DockBarXApplet".

Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration?"
giving me the options of "Don't delete" and "Delete".

I have to select delete and manually add dockbarx myself every time. It only happens right after logging in.

Post ~/.dockbarx/log/dockbarx.log (or dockbarx.log.1 if you restarted dockbarx sicne the last crash and so on) and tell me how you installed DockbarX, via DockbarX ppa, webupd8's ppa, manually or some other way.

sorry, I got a problem. I like your stuff, but the right mouse on dockbarx icon don't work and applications won't work. As far I know, my mouse work very well. I use it on awn, but I got the same issue on the gnome panel...

but what will happen after the Gnome3 release? Does it work with it? Something I read about Gnome3 makes me a little bit angry, because they have taken most of the ways to customize my system.

Hi, is there a way to change the appearance of the red close button? It doesn't look good with my theme... :P

but this bug kills it for me...

dockbarx will not allow me to create a launcher for nautilus (nothing happens if i drag and drop the launcher from the menu.)
It will not recognize if nautilus is launched.

You need a newer version of DockbarX (or alternatively a version of Nautilus that has no error in it's translations). Webupd8:s ppa is more up to date for lucid than the official DockbarX ppa is. Try that one.
