It be could if you added the option to enable Preview mode without the list of the window names, but keep the small close button in the Preview.

 Gnome-shell

I understand that's too early to talk about, but it will be possible to implement dockbarx in the new gnome-shell "dock" on the left side of the screen?
Why don't you propose a close implementationwith it?

 Lucid?

by linuxpingu on: Jan 9 2011

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will there be a release of the newest version, 0.42.1, for lucid?
My system just installs the older one again and again. I also tried installing the Maverik one, but it didn't work.
If there will be a new release for lucid, when can I expect to be able to download it?

Many thanks
PS:It looks brilliant! Keep up the good work.

The official ppa does only contain up-to-date versions for the newest ubuntu. Try with webupd8:s ppa. It holds up-to-date versions of dockbarx for older ubuntus as well, but it will update quite a few other programs for you as well.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8

 Alignment y of dockbarx

 by franksouza183 on: Jan 14 2011

Score 50%

I do not know if this is a problem or dockbarx AWN, but the applet dockbarx is not properly aligned on the y axis (vertical). Try creating a bar of awn in panel mode (bottom or top of the screen), and place the applet dockbarx, now try to increase the displacement (not the height) of the bar and see what happens. the applet does not follow the displacement

thanks

sorry for English

Somebody probably asked this, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Could somebody guide me how to make the dockbarx+awn look like the second screenshot? I tried several ways but just couldn't make it work...Thanks.

Dockbarx theme should be faensa_v, you need to apply gaussian blur in compiz blur filter and check this link out for more info on fine-tuning awn lucido.

 Problem with the active color

by tsujan on: Feb 6 2011

Score 50%

First, thank you for this great applet.

With v0.43, when the first window is opened, its icon on DockbarX doesn't have the active color until the cursor is put on it once or the window gets inactive and then active again. The behavior is correct with the second window. I removed the old configuration folder but after logging out and in, the same thing happened. Switching between themes made no difference either. I find nothing relevant in '~/.dockbarx/'. So I returned to v0.42.1.

BTW, the folder '~/.dockbarx/' will be filled with so many useless log files after a while. I think it's more appropriate to only log (serious) errors in that folder.
