Oh, yes. You've done something amazing. I join the request - Could you integrate dockbarX at the latest version of AWN. We can not wait for longer time. Very, very appreciated. We wish you all the best. Bye!

 AWN

"AWN 0.4

To install dockbarx as an AWN 0.4 applet, you should first do an normal install and then copy the content of the AWN folder to ~/.config/AWN/applets. "

huh? I find this somewhat cryptic - the content of which AWN folder?

There are just one folder named AWN in the package you just downloaded. ;)

I don't know how to express that less cryptic. Next version could perhaps ask if it should install dockbarx as an awn applet as well so that no manual copying is necessary.

thanks for the awn 0.4 support, but i noticed it doesn't work with the testing version 0.4.1, could you fix it please, also i couldn't pin some application like jdownloader and miro because there isn't the option "pin application", why??

Do you get any errors when running awn in a terminal with --debug?

Not all programs can be pinned to dockbarx since dockbarx have to _guess_ which application windows belongs to. If it can't guess you can't pin. But you can always drag the launcher for the program from gnome-menu to dockbarx (and change the identifier by hand if dockbarx isn't able to connect the right windows to it).

The easiest way is to change the size of the dock. If you don't want to do that you can edit the theme. Look for the size option in the "get_icon" tags in the config file.

 Trouble here¡¡¡

by XxAndoxX on: May 27 2010

Score 50%

I updated dockbarx from the ppa sources and i restarted my computer and then i got the OAFIID:GNOME_DockBarXApplet error, so i ran the $dockbarx_factory.py run-in-window and it gave me back "Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/dockbarx_factory.py", line 26, in <module>
import dockbarx.dockbar
ImportError: No module named dockbarx.dockbar"
any solution???

thanks¡¡¡

I guess I gave the packaging manager, Reeve, a bit of trouble with the re-arrange source code, but he is working on it and I guess we will soon have a working version in the ppa again.

I really need to find the reason for that bug, many different things leads to that same error.

The error appears in the theme engine so as a work around you could try changing the theme.
