Submitted:  Sep 2 2013

Description:

An XFCE Theme by Aubrey for Fedora 18.

Contains two scripts:
1. aubrey.sh
changes the wallpaper, theme, icons, desktop, login screen, verbose bootloader and grub background.

2. screensaver.sh
installs via yum some xscreensaver packages and configures the slide show to display a pic for this theme.

To Run:
just unpack the zip file and type:
./aubrey.sh

as the home user.

This is a great theme on small screens like on netbooks!

Changelog:

Added Third file for Fedora 20

Same thing again but customized for Fedora 20

Installs spinfinity plymouth boot splash

But, this version also installs the oxy-white mouse theme

Instructions are in the README file.

README also has
Bonus 1: screensaver script
Bonus 2: firefox theme link
Bonus 3: download link for BitDefender
(they look cool - trust me!)

Added Second file for Fedora 19.

Its basically the same thing but customized for Fedora 19

except instead of configuring a verbose boot it uses the "spinfinity" plymouth boot theme.

How come you don't classify this as GTK3? (There appears to be a GTK3 theme in the zip)? Is there any way to make the theme work as root (installed /usr/share/themes) rather than as an ordinary user?

 Theme for Root and GTK3

Hi,

Reason for doing it as a home user is that it is more than just a theme, which I called "My4.4LG".

The script actually modifies allot of the desktop settings using xfconf-query commands.

Reference is here:
http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfconf/xfconf-query

Also included is dan rabbits elementary icons, which it also adds to ~/home/user/.icons folder aswell.

Then it goes on as superuser to modify some system files:
1. Grub background
2. Verbose boot
3. Login screen (only works for Fedora 18 "Spherical Cow")
4. Browser Icons in the applications menu

As, for GTK3, yeah it has both gtk2 and gtk3 themes because in Fedora 18 both are used and therefore a fall-back theme is provided.

Its a nice theme to use and I guess you could easily modify the files yourself to achieve better security with your idea. But, works fine for me!

Best Regards,
Aubrey.
