GNOME Icon Theme

Faience Moon for elementary OS Luna

Submitted:  Nov 23 2012
Updated:  Jan 11 2013

Description:

This icon theme is a custom version of Faience, made to fit into elementary OS Luna (panel, default apps and other icons).
__________________________________________________________________

Comes in 2 versions: Blue (blue folder icons) and Cheese (default Faience folder icons).
__________________________________________________________________

Installation:

Extracted the downloaded folder, open it and click on "install.sh". To remove the icon theme, click on "remove.sh".

Note that it installs the icons on your home folder, so applications running as root will not be able to use them and will default to GNOME theme. Future versions may include an fix. Meanwhile, if you want to use the icon theme as root, you should copy the "theme" folder to /usr/share/icons and rename it to Faience-Moon-Blue (or Faience-Moon-Cheese if you've choosen it).

This is a custom version of Faience icon theme by tiheum. All the credits to the original icons go to him.

Changelog:

13/01/2013 - New install script! Read the installation instructions for details.

11/01/2013 - New banner. Fix for wrong low battery icons, missing "edit" icon for Maya calendar app and addition of an elementary OS "distributor" icon, for Switchboard's "About" plug. Changed naming structure - now named Faience-Moon-Blue and Faience-Moon-Cheese.

17/12/2012 - Faenza dependence removed. Fix for critical bug of some icons not appearing on Switchboard and wrong icons for wi-fi secure networks.

You have to edit the file "/usr/share/themes/elementary/gtk-3.0/panel.css". Go to ".panel {" and change "background-color" to whatever you would like. Glad that you like it :)

That's odd, here it looks fine. May I ask, are you using the nm-applet indicator? (If you don't know what it is, maybe a screenshot with the wi-fi indicator open would help).

I want to fix your bug and upload a new version soon, which fixes a critical bug of some icons not appearing on Switchboard.

Hey! I updated the icon theme. I think there were some network png icons leftovers from Faience before... so I deleted them. Could you try it again to see if it solves your problem, please? Thank you!
