Get rid of the purple crap and replace it with neutral colors which would make it more viable to use with any theme.

Good theme, but plz include some alternative folder icons with e.g. arch, debian or gnome logo for those who don't use ubuntu.

Or how about just a completely unbranded version? Branding icons with ubuntu or any other distribution of GNU/Linux or flavor of BSD is quite lame. I understand you want to promote your favorite distribution, but in doing so you are making what seems to be nice looking icons undesirable for anyone that doesnt use poobuntu.
