Description:

my take on an OSX theme (yes i know there are heaps of them out there)

most of the themes i see on here try to emulate the pill button look however i find that these take away from the theme as gnome doesnt render them too nicely so i made my own simple buttons

this theme is based on GT4 but has input from tish (metacity theme and use of clearlooks engine) and osx.5

extract manually to ~/.themes folder- for those who use the mac menubar hack use "snow-leopard-mac"

requires: clearlooks engine

this theme is a work in progres so there will be a few bugs

the dock is just a transparent gnome panel. the background is actually drawn into the wallpaper (as is the shadow beneath the top panel)

the blue apple icon is not part of the GTK theme its just a modification of the distributor logo i have made for the icon theme (osx icons are availible on this site somewhere...) I wont upload it because its a trademark of apple (and therefore illegal to distribute)

the background image on the "dock" (the lower panel) is just a picture i have drawn on my wallpaper its not part of the GTK theme (and because its custom for the number of icons i have its not viable to post it here)

also i have the mac menu hack which displays the menu on the panel instead of the window (just like osx does) this hack doesnt come standard with any distro (that im aware of) which is why you dont have that menu

for more information see your distros forums

 Awesome

Really awesome, but could you make a version where instead of having the dot, '+' and '-' images when you mouseover the close, maximize and minimize buttons, have them glow a little instead? That would be freaking awesome, and if you do it right, it could be the best theme on this site.

And also, could you clean up thee rounded edges on the windows? They don't look that good.
