Description:

This is a "re-make" of the latest weather screenlet created by Helder Fraga (Whise) and robgig1088. Only minor improvements have been made to the code. Most of the work put into this release is in themes.

Thanks goes to Nemanja Jovicic for creating this screenlet. Weather icons in the default theme are from the Gnome icon suite. Tango icons are used in the tango-glass theme. The screenlet icon is from KDE's Oxygen icon suite.

*Note that the weather icons are not complete, I will work on expanding them. Any help in doing so would be much appreciated.

Changelog:

-Updated default/glass theme
-Added carbon theme variant

 Countries...

Thanks a lot for the nice work. This desklet works great.

For info, the weather comes from http://weather.com. So if you're not living in one of the following countries : Brazil, France, Germany, Latin America (continent), UK & Ireland, India or USA, you won't access your own weather.

OK, I found out a way to get the weather for Canada. So, it might work for your country even if not in the above list.

Just try this: go to: www.weather.com. Type down your city and country name in the search bar. Click on whatever suggested area that corresponds to what you're looking for. Then, once your on your city page, you will find the equivalent to your city zip code in the address bar.

In the case of Toronto, the address bar shows: http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/CAXX0504?from=enhsearch_loc

The equivalent of the zip code is CAXX0504. Copy it and enter it as zip code. Voilà!

Oop. Never mind. Turns out the missing icons are very easy to fill in as Weather.com's XML is easy to decipher and the author did all the heavy lifting already. Definitely loving this screenlet!
