DEVELOPMENT HALTED
I would like to thank Ubuntu for making most of my project and artwork obsolete. Do you even realize that many users want to customize their user interface? Stop stripping more and more customization options in every release.
Here's a solution to Unity users: Make Unity panel fully transparent and put the panel background on the wallpaper. It's not very convenient and the panel backgrounds aren't exactly the right size for Unity panel, but I don't care anymore. I hope someone still finds this pack useful for some purpose, but no further releases will be made, ever.
Spectrum: basically a lot of stuff for Gnome desktop. You might have to change panel text and object colours, you can do this easily with Gnome Color Chooser.
There are more than hundred panel backgrounds, which have top and bottom variations and two different sizes, 26 pixels and 36 pixels. Also included are Dingo, a Firefox user style I made with all the reference files and all the custom icons I've made for fun. I hope there's something useful in this package for you
And here it finally is; Spectrum 11.04[/b] Amber - late and unfinished just the way you don't like it (I've been VERY busy with school and so many other things, I apologize to everyone who has been waiting for an update, some things are still undone but here's everything that's done):
- Metacity themes
- Aquarelle, a Lynx, Luna, Royale, Watercolor and Aero-like Metacity theme with several color variations (partially done)
- Wildcat, a Lynx-derived OSX-like theme (done)
(I don't want to make rip-offs, and neither of these themes are exact copies of OSX or Windows themes)
- Panel backgrounds
- 26px -> 24px (not done yet)
- Grass, fur and leather (partially done)
- Icons
- Maybe some custom Echo icons, such as lighter folder icons and all my custom icons (not done yet)
- Test icon done
- New version of the Tux menu icon (done)
- New Ubuntu-like version number style
Instructions for panel backgrounds: Extract the package, open the panel options and select your favorite
- How to use most backgrounds with vertical panels:
1. Open gconf-editor.
2. Open "apps", then "panel" and then "toplevels".
3. Open the panel's folder that you want to customize, and open "background".
4. Check rotate and fit and close gconf-editor.
6. Right-click the panel and select panel options, and open the background tab.
7. Select the background image you want to use.
To change the background again, repeat steps 6 and 7.
* Please comment, I'd like to hear what you like and what could be better
