Description:

This theme uses both the Murrine and Clearloooks engines.

I started with Alexandar Radovic's Murrine port of Priyank M. Gosalia's GT4 White theme, then I customized the colors, added support for some of Murrine's more esoteric features, and configured the slider handles and tabs to use the Clearlooks engine.

For more information about this theme and how to use multiple engines in a single theme, please see my article at Ars Technica's Open Ended journal:

Very nice theme. But I must ask, what theme and window manager are you using? I've always wanted something like the tabs in BeOS but since Sawfish was removed as the default window manager and replaced by Metacity, I haven't seen anything like that since.

Thanks.

I'm actually using Sawfish. The frame style, which I made myself, is called BeClear. I made it by chopping up a screenshot of the Clearlooks Metacity theme.

Any chance, of, you know... actually making the theme available?

really like this look, i'm using this theme now with some nice small sharp fonts. Are you using ubuntu? How did you manage to use sawfish instead of metacity?

Yeah, I'm an Ubuntu user. :-)

Sawfish is in the Ubuntu repositories so you can install it with APT or with Synaptic. Unfortunately, GNOME doesn't provide any mechanism to configure the default Window manager. What I do, is I start GNOME, then I type the following command:

gnome-session-remove metacity && sawfish &

And then I save the session using the "Save current session" button on the "Session Options" tab of the gnome-session-properties utility. After I do that, Sawfish will start instead of Metacity every time I log in.

Cool thanks ;) I will try this today.
Since sawfish doesn't iclude the '--replace' command i was a little puzzled about starting this in gnome.
