do you have approval of author of the original icons [apple] and of the fedora project to use its logo?

First off, I would like you to qualify your authority to ask such a question on behalf of the Fedora project or Red Hat for that matter.

Second, Fedora is an open, community project. Did the author of Nodoka require "authorization" to post his work here? No...why? Community. The Fedora logo is not being used for profit, therefore no authorization from the project is req'd.

Please lose the attitude and misrepresentation of the project.

As for Apple, better get posting, there's over 1000 posted items here using Apple or Apple like content.

Keep up the good work. :)

Also:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal/Licenses/CLA

Whomever created the Fedora logo you used, signed this CLA, and thus, the right for the community to use it.

Great! So because lots of other people break copyright, it means its ok to do so! I agree the fedora comment was pretentious, but I'm against ripping of other operating systems' icons.

Nodoka is opensource. I don't think OSX' icons are GPL'ed or even CC'ed.

You fail with your example.

This is clearly a copyright violation. The artwork is owned by Fedora and Apple. You cant release this as gpl.

Remove or i will remove it.

Thank you

Then make sure you remove every apple icon set on this website when you take this icon set off! I got these icons from this website and simply modified the menu icon, thats it, so instead of attacking me, go after those who published these icons initially. Secondly if you read, youll see that the license says other free, not gpl nor did it ever say gpl. Ill tell you what Ill never upload anything here ever again, and you can go right ahead and ban me, Ill come here and get my themes and wallpapers but ill never ever upload anything here again.

DesolateOne's right - you can't lay any blame on him if he obtained the icons from this site. And the Fedora icon is, as was mentioned, free to use.

Alright! Someone else sees this how it is, All I DID was take the mac4lin icons, take out the apple logo next to the applications button on the main menu, and then I added the corresponding logo icon, the only ones I had done this to was ubuntu, fedora, and mint. This whole thing is ridiculous and really turned me off to this place, Im done uploading.

Uh why?

Please read the comments above...secondly you've got two issues:

First:
http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Mac4Lin+ver.0.4+GTK+Icon+Theme?content=72000

Here's the mac4lin Icon set ON THIS SITE. Seems valid, no requests to remove.

Second:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin

According to this, the project is INDEED LGPL. Sorry, there's not an issue.

Like I said above, please ELIMINATE all Apple content from your site if this is the prevailing attitude. The author also released this in other posts changing the panel icon for other distos and you haven't commented, why?

Obviously, it's your choice but if you are going to scrutinize certain posts for no valid reason, that's just uncool.

I like you are responding to those administrators who says they will delete content of Gnome Look, I think they don't know how this works, out there are content from apple on many web pages, I don't have any problem with sharing and you are not getting any benefit from this icon theme.
Good job.
