Description:

This script fixes the annoyances produced by some bad coded web pages. This just become notorious whenever you do use dark or black themes. e.g. black fonts over black backgrounds

Now it also helps -officially- fixing some issues with themes using dark toolbars.

I expect this to be a basis for all of us theme developers and users. Please help sending feedback and solving issues instead of playing alone: A single and simple solution is better for all of us!!

NOTE: If you don't have experience running scripts nor willing to read the instructions please don't use this script. However, I am willing to help you everytime no matter if you are new to GNU/Linux. Thank you.

Works for Epiphany, Seamonkey and Firefox

Check out the screenshots to learn from the examples.

Unpacking:
Quote:
tar xzvf darkfix-03.tar.gz
cd darkfix-0.3
./darkfix

Usage:
./darkfix [option] [browser]
Make a change at a time, with your browser closed. Open it and test the changes made. If you don't like what you have done:
./darkfix -r
rolls-back to the previous state.

Note:
If for any reason you can't execute correctly this script make sure it has appropriate execution permissions like this:
Quote:
chmod ug+rx darkfix

Some time in the near future I will add more features as "automagical skinning" and so. Enjoy it.

Changelog:

(0.3)
* Borrowed some CSS code from Firefox forums, it's very useful but some results aren t so pleasing yet when you need forcing (customizing) backgrund GUI settings.
* Simplified its use for people new to GNU/Linux and themes.
* Corrected some little issues (thanks dorfl))
* Changed some parts in preparation of the graphical version.

(0.1)
* Release/Testing Version

Has anyone found a fix to the dark theme Vs firefox problem?

I tried both Dark Fix and Sunsparcs CSS file and neither worked on firefox v 3.0.11 under ubuntu.

Am really desperate to sort this out but been searching for days and not getting anywhere?
