GNOME Shell Theme

Minimum required   GNOME 3.x
Downloads:  2722
Submitted:  Jul 8 2012
Updated:  Apr 1 2013

Description:

Contrail is a minimal theme based on Tobias Bernard's minimal GTK theme mockup, found here: http://tobias.bluestain.net/floss/minimal-gtk-theme/

Try the Contrail Metacity theme, too! (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=152183 - works with Mutter)
Also, I recommend the Flat Studio GTK theme, based on the same mockup that Contrail was. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/FlatStudio?content=154296

Thanks to Andrew King (https://plus.google.com/u/0/113668134679456528240) for suggesting the name!

The wallpaper is Hole in the wall by Toms Atte: http://simpledesktops.com/browse/desktops/2012/may/08/hole-in-the-wall/

Known bugs:
-When using the Activities hot-corner, it often stays in the hover state when switching back to the desktop. This is a problem with GNOME-Shell itself.

 Cool.

It's pretty and runs so smoothly!

One thing, though. The buttons on the panel icons for turning stuff on/off are hard to see when they're highlighted. Maybe some more contrast would be nice unless that the intention?

It was based on the mockup, which did it the same way. I could try changing it to be like the panel buttons...

Great work here! It would be really cool to get a GTK theme like this rolling! I like the squared edges that you used more then the 90 Degree ones in the mockup.

Not sure when I will have alot of time but doing this would be awesome.

It was originally a GTK3 theme but I got fed up with GTK3 issues. I might finish it sometime

No, it only works in GNOME-Shell 3.4. I plan on updating it for 3.8 eventually, though.

I'm working on porting it to use Elegance-Colors as a front-end. This would be a preset for that, then, and would be colourizable as well. I'm doing that so it's easier to keep updated in the future. Shouldn't be too long, hopefully.

It's working mostly, still a little bit of work, though.

this is like waiting for iron man 3 & fast 6 to come out in bluray so i could download & watch it Lol. looking forward so much to this! :) and oh while you're at it, can you like reduce the height of the gnome panel for more vertical space? and the font used by the shell to something like Coda size 10, so the extensions' text won't go "..." when you got it almost full? just suggestion and somewhat of a request from your number 1 fan. :)

1 more thing you might wanna make the on-screen keyboard a bit transparent... not imposing, just requesting. :)
